With apologies to Gordon Lightfoot.....

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big receiver that called throw it to me
The Cardinals, they said, were given up for dead
When the skies of November turn gloomy.
With a load of receiving stats nearly 8,000 yards more
Than Larry Fitzgerald had as a rookie
That good receiver and true was a bone to be chewed
When the passes went to Breaston and Early
Number 11 was the pride of the Arizona side
Coming back from a game against Seattle
As the big receivers go he was bigger than most
With a team and the Captain well seasoned.
Concluding some terms with some ex Steeler worms
And a quarterback that had been cut from Cleveland
And later that night when they onside kicked
Did the ball bounce off of Jay Feely
The crowd in the stands made a tattletale sound
And the red sea broke over the railing
And every man knew, as the Captain did, too,
T'was the witch hunt of November in Phoenix.
The comeback came late and victory had to wait
When the D of Seattle came slashing
When afternoon came it was such a big pain
In the stadium at a place called Westgate
When blog time came Darren Urban came on line
Saying fellows it's too rough to please ya
At 7PM a vote of confidence came in
Bill Davis said fellas it's been good to know ya.
The O Line phoned it in they had defenders coming in
And the recievership and team was in peril
And later that night with the cameras out of sight
Came the wrath of Larry Fitzgerald.
Does anyone know where the love of God goes
When Kurt Warner decided to retire
The Bidwell's all say they'd have been forced to pay
If they'd put Donovan McNabb on the roster.
They might have split up or they might have capsized
They may have went deep with Matt Leinart
And all that remains is the faces and the names
Of the fans and the season ticket holders.
The Seahawks roll, San Francisco sings
And the Rams could still win the division
Old Cardinals it seams gave up on their dreams,
still getting called for conduct unsportsmen.
And farther below worst case scenario
Takes in the first draft pick can send them
And the line goats go as the supporters all know
With the losses of November remembered.
In trusty Max Hall against New Orleans he played
the Cardinals thought they found the future
The church bell chimed, 'til it rang 29 times
For each drop by Larry Fitzgerald.
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big receiver that called throw it to me
The Cardinals they say, were given up for dead
When the losses of November come often.

Who would win in a fight, Whisenhunt or a Hurricane?
Hold on, hold on, what if the Hurricanes name was Whisenhunt?
Daaaaaaaaaa Cards, Da Cards Da Cards Da Cards Da Cards!!!
It might be that the age demographic means
that too many people have no idea of G. Lightfoot or “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.” Sadly.
Kudo’s. I liked it.
I’m on the side of true love…and a good running game.
Nobody can get the truth out of me because even I don't know what it is. I keep myself in a constant state of utter confusion. -- Col. Flagg
