BIG if; If McNabb is waived, do we try and pick him up?

At the beginning of the season if you would have told me our QB situation was going to be this horrendous I would have welcomed the idea of McNabb with open arms. Back than, in my naivety, I still believed that ML was the guy and that we had no need for an aging veteran.

Now, 8 weeks in and I watching a team that is very talented in many positions yet is imploding due to shoddy QB play. Times are a desperate. Rumors have it that McNabb is on his way out with Washington. Personally, I think it is doubtful, but it could happen. The Vikings straight dumped Moss; so stranger things could still transpire.

McNabb has been struggling in Washington. His stats have been mediocre (just ask my fantasy team) this season. But he isn't surrounded by the talent he once was. Washington is rebuilding and looking for a new identity with the take over of Mike Shanahan. So maybe a new place, a place with talent, could revitalize his season.

So far McNabb has thrown for 1,971 yards. That's 531 yards more than both our QB's combined. He has also completed 57.1% of his passes while our guys are scrapping the bottom end of 50%. His 7 TD's out weigh our 5 total TD's. Should I even mention INT's? Sure, while he has 8 at least it isn't 13.

The chances of McNabb getting waived are very slim and our chances of picking him up over the waiver wire are even slimmer. But maybe we pick him up next season to baby sit Skelton and hope we find ourselves with a QB controversy one day.
