Pro Bowl Rosters Announced, No Cardinals Besides Adrian Wilson On The List
The Pro Bowl Rosters have been announced, and the only Cardinal to make the starting lineup is Strong Safety Adrian Wilson which he also thought was a joke when he first heard that he made the roster, and he thought that Kerry Rhodes deserved it more than him (Wilson also said that he would give Rhodes his spot in the Pro Bowl roster if he could). In fact, the guy Rhodes replaced (Antrel Rolle) made it over Rhodes who didn't even get named as an alternate even though he has been much better than Rolle this season.
Five players from the Cardinals made the roster as alternates: Wide Receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Defensive Tackle Darnell Dockett, Kicker Jay Feely, Guard Alan Faneca, and Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
As I mentioned before, Kerry Rhodes didn't even get named as an alternate, Ben Graham also didn't get named as an alternate like he was last season. LaRod Stephens-Howling wasn't mentioned either, but the NFC also has Devin Hester who has transformed back into the demon that he was returning Kicks and Punts during his first two years in the NFL and LSH had no shot. I thought that Rhodes was robbed considering how well he has played during his first year with the Cardinals.
For some of my quick reactions, I am surprised Matt Ryan made the roster over Aaron Rodgers (who I think is one of the best Quarterbacks in the NFL right now), and I also think Vernon Davis should have been in there instead of Tony Gonzalez. Antonio Gates is also questionable for me because of all the games he missed. It does seem like more players from the Falcons made it than there should be because of their record this season.

I just published the roster in a post
Plus a huge complaint about how we got screwed.
David Akers for Jay Feely? Mat McBriar for Ben Graham? Antrel Rolle for Kerry Rhodes? Who does the selection?
Why did Peyton Manning make the AFC Roster?
I mean, he’s a great QB, but I have a feeling he made it just because he’s Peyton Manning and he plays for the Colts.
Also, I would’ve thought that Hakeem Nicks would make the roster. He has more yards and TD’s than DeSean Jackson.
Like I said, I don’t like how Kerry Rhodes didn’t make the Pro Bowl as a starter. He’s had a much better season than Antrel Rolle, so it’s pretty ridiculous that he wasn’t made a starter.
As for Ben Graham, despite having 1,002 more yards than Mat McBriar, he wasn’t made the starter. Okay, then…
Finally, LSH has been great, but he’s unfortunately in the same conference as Devin “Sugar Foot” Hester.
lol, I think Ben has 1,000 more yards because we go 3 and out too damn much
But I hoped he would win the spot for getting snubbed last year.

By the way
Adrian Wilson said he would give up his spot on the roster for Kerry Rhodes, and said that he thinks it’s an injustice that Kerry Rhodes didn’t make it. I don’t think he’s too pleased that Antrel Rolle gets to go too.
I saw that too
Classy.
I had the part that said he thought Rhodes should have gotten a roster spart, so maybe I can add the thing you mentioned to the story too.

Classy, but its the least he could do..
Wilson has no business going to the Pro Bowl. Whether the defensive scheming, poor performance, or a combination, he was horrible in most of their games….I do respect him for his candid admission of how bad he’s played this year.
and the gold glove goes too........
players past their prime who have won it for year!!!!!!!
who do you take off for Fitz?
The four wideouts selected are the top 4 receivers in terms of receiving yards and each of them have more TD’s than Fitz’s 5 this year. A big area that hurt Fitz this year is that his big plays (40+ yards) are way down. I realize that it’s almost all attributable to the poor QB play we’ve had, and a case could be made that him still topping 1,000 yards is a testament to his true talent, but the bottom line is this year, those four guys have had bigger years.

He didn't have any catches over 40 yards last year
But he also had Kurt throwing 13 touchdowns to him.
Maybe he will get in if someone else drops out.

wow, I never would have guessed he had ZERO 40+ last year
F-me. I’d have lost everything on that bet. Maybe the drop in TD’s was the difference.

I think his longest catch was the Touchdown he got before Halftime against the Vikings in 09
That one was about 35 yards.
There were a few plays where Kurt missed him when he was wide open on deep routes though (I remember one from that awful Colts game).

Just more proof that the Pro Bowl is a gigantic waste of time
Anytime you let fan voting be a large part of the equation (33% in this case), you’re going to get idiotic results.

can't believe
Antrell made it. The Giants games that I’ve seen, he’s been either invisible, or some guy’s running away from him. I’m shocked there’s not a better free safety in the NFC.
I was laughing pretty hard when he got burned by Jordy Nelson last Sunday

Remind me
Was that when Aaron Rodgers overthrew it, and a few plays later the miracle-fumble happened?
I have no problem with the Pro Bowlers Rooster but when I read that Matt Ryan made the roster instead of Aaron Rodgers I felt a goose pimple. I also think that Aaron Rodgers is one of the country’s top form Quarterbacks in NFL right now isn’t he?
Michael Jordan Ready to Fly Again
I think Ryan is a good Quarterback
But with how well Rodgers is playing, I don’t see how Ryan made it over him.
