the recent story had me thinking about previous drafts for the Cards. This post has the year the round and the coaching era for the draft picks of the starters we have on our roster So i went back to the longest tenured player on our teams draft year A-DUB '

2001 In the 3rd round we took Adrian Wilson DB
2002 NO ONE
2003 in the 2nd we took Anquan Boldin WR in the 3rd we got Gerald Hays ILB in the 6th we got Reggie Wells RG

The Denny Green Era
I was never a fan of Green as a coach, but I was ALWAYS a fan of Denny as a personnel guy. I’d always said, and always heard from others, that Green knew how to bring in quality players both via the draft and free agency. I’d actually hoped that the Cardinals would keep him on to be a personnel guy rather than a coach.
Granted, Whiz hasn’t done too shabby either. Still, look at the consistent, high-quality talent that Green brought in. Also, remember he brought in Antonio Smith as well even though he isn’t with the Cards any longer.
