One small step for Card fans...

One giant leap for the Bidwells…

They are who we thought they were!

In the words of the great Mike Jurecki

Woo Hoo!

Never do card tricks for the group you play poker with.

That's great news.

Now they need to get Whiz extended.

Bout time

What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.

*giant sigh of relief #1*

sigh of relief #2 will be Whiz extended

  1. will be Rolle. As much as I like Dansby, Rolle is more important right now IMO. Although, we skip Rolle and draft Taylor Mays :)

No thanks to Mays

We need a coverage guy, not another A-Dub.

They are who we thought they were!

by Jesse Reynolds on Feb 3, 2010 2:17 PM MST up reply actions

Rolle is essentially another A-Dub as is

He can’t cover in man coverage, but he is an extremely athletic hard hitter. If Rolle were to leave, I’d love to get Taylor Mays. The guy is a physical monster even if he can’t cover either. I would be happy with Mays assuming Greg Toler is ready to take the next step AND we draft another CB as well.

Taylor Mays= Adub(younger version)

Although I was tooting his horn as well, I must admit redundancy isn’t always a good thing.

Life's too short. Be a fan. Orlando Magic, Arizona Cardinals,Tampa Bay Rays and of course "the U"! What a winning combo.

Read last night that Rolle may be interested in playing in Miami.

This of course came from the Miami Herald. I have a hard time buying that the Cardinals don’t work out a long term deal with Rolle. That they wouldn’t extend Whisenhunt is to me a mind jarring impossibility.

by hadrarius on Feb 3, 2010 3:30 PM MST up reply actions

I dont think its that easy to resign Rolle

I think he WANTS to hit the free agent market and if so will get grossly overpaid. I want him back but I am also not so certain he is as great a FS as we think. i think he is very good but NOT a pro bowler by any means. How we had 3 of our secondary in the Pro Bowl yet sucked at pass defense is beyond me.

Shocking about the Pro Bowl I agree.

Unless Ware is someone they are ready to put in to start I just don’t think they have the depth to let Rolle go. If he wants the big payoff then he will leave. I don’t think it will be because the Cardinals didn’t try to keep him.

by hadrarius on Feb 3, 2010 4:26 PM MST up reply actions

3 Pro Bowlers

Agreed. How in the world did we get 3 pro bowlers when we couldn’t cover anything. It seemed like everyone was open @ the end of the season. DRC is good and will only get better. Adubb didn’t look as good in coverage this year and Rolle, I really don’t know what to make of him. He can tackle and can freelance pretty good but seems to be out of
position a lot on certain coverages. If we can get him @ a reasonable price, go for it but
don’t overpay him

Losing Ware screwed up the entire defense.

He was asked how he felt about playing for the Dolphins and of course he'll express interest

Just in case. But he didn’t openly request to play for the Dolphins. I wouldn’t take too much into it.

What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.

It's always interesting the spin put on any comments a player makes.

There wasn’t much context in what I read. The most I put into it was that Rolle is working an angle for his next contract, though truly I suspect it was an innocuous comment.

meant to say
  1. will be Rolle

You'll get used to it.

HUGE STEP

Pivotal towards remaining healthy, playoff competitive, and showing players that the Org. is committed to their performance.

by WeDoThisTogether on Feb 3, 2010 3:07 PM MST reply actions

John Lott is so well respected by the players

and has had so much positive press it was really hard to believe that the team wouldn’t come around to a deal with him. It’s very telling about the Cardinals history that we as fans were actually concerned about this.

Good news
