Arizona is far from convinced that Matt Leinart is its short- or long-term answer at quarterback. His work ethic and commitment continue to be questioned, I’m told by sources in the Cardinals building. It would surprise me if Leinart is the starter on opening day, especially if the team is able to sign Charlie Whitehurst from the Chargers. Whitehurst is a hard worker, dedicated teammate and willing to pay the price to be a starter in the NFL.

I doubt that this is true. Who knows, maybe HardHat works at Cardinals HQ now ;-).

Very possible...

about Hardhat that is.

Life's too short. Be a fan. Orlando Magic, Arizona Cardinals,Tampa Bay Rays and of course "the U"! What a winning combo.

Have to take with a grain of salt

anything you hear credited to anonymous sources. Urban is now reporting the team is looking at picking up Anderson or Whitehurst but not both. If Leinart was truly in the dog house why not take both?

Nothing like competition to motivate

QB is the most important and influential position in football. So, even if you already have a good number 1, you’ve gotta have a solid number 2 behind him. Plus, with a little competition nippin’ at Leinhart’s heals, maybe that’ll keep him motivated.

I would rather have Anderson than Whitehurst

I am starting to like the idea of Whitehurst, not sure why

… maybe its his long wavy hair.

ML is just looking to stir the pot and keep his name in the press, thats it.

i wouldn’t mind Whitehurst being the face of the cardinals lol

Not at all

What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.

If any quarterback was given the keys to success...

it’s Matt Leinert. He’s been able to watch and learn from a future (IMO) first round hall of fame quarterback in Kurt Warner. He’s seen how Warner prepared, how much work he put in, how he led and how he interacted with teammates and the community. If he’s not the starter, it’s his own fault.

this is mularky

every other report of matt has him being matured, and ready to take the reigns.
he’s only had one publiczed outing.
and he gets persecuted, its not like he’s raped 2 girls.

  1. throws 3500 yards next season

Matt's too pretty

He doesn’t have to date rape girls.

Hahaha. Oh man, that made me laugh hard.
Heck, he voluntarily got those girls into his hot tub. Points for Matt.
I don’t know why people threw such a fit over Matt’s hot tub party, young guy having fun. As long as he is responsible and doesn’t start doing stuff like what other QB’s have done, let the man have his fun.

They are who we thought they were!

If I was in my early 20's making millions

playing a game I’d have been in the hot tub with hot girls doing beer bongs too. I know I would have so I can’t criticize him for it. Peyton Manning may have come into the league a consummate professional but I’ll bet he’s not that fun at parties.

I agree about Matt

I mean, you look at Vince Young, and he was criticized for getting up on stage and “making it rain” at some concert, then earned back his starting job in the regular season… Peyton, I’m not so sure about. He does pretty well on SNL, and that ESPN commercial with he and Eli was funny.

Apparently Roethlisberger isn’t blessed with the same savvy looks as Matt. He does have to date rape his women to get some. And I don’t care what the outcome is, shit like that happens to anybody for what, a 3rd time? there is a reason for that.
