Revenge Of The Birds Community Mock Draft: 5th Pick, Kansas City Chiefs
Negatives: He's is a bit small for the position, listed at 5-11 and 203 pounds. Although the size has not been a problem for him, it is still a red flag. He also tends to lead with his shoulders looking for a big hit instead of wrapping up the ball carrier and bringing him down. With the type of high-caliber player that Berry is though, these problems won't be a big deal.
Why the Chiefs will take him: The Chiefs have many needs on their team and they could possibly go defensive tackle here with Gerald McCoy on the board, but Berry is too good to pass on. Not only will he upgrade that awful secondary immediately, but he will also help out in the run defense that was ranked 31st in the NFL last season. This too me, is just a no brainer on KC's part.

Gotta agree
The Chiefs can use help at almost any position.
What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.
Revenge of the Birds
With McCoy still on board,
I have a hard time believing they’d pass. But that’s what keeps it interesting.
I've seen McCoy slip pretty far on other mock drafts
Pretty strange.

Revenge of the Birds
Remember they used a high first rounder on a DT last year
Tyson had a slow start last year, but they still might not want to wrap that much money into one position/

They also took Glenn Dorsey with their 5th overall pick in 2008.
They could trade him but I think they will give him one more season to see if he can turn it around.
I really considered having them take him but...
Berry just does so much that I think he would be a better pick. Like I said, he can stop the run, plays well in coverage, and he has big play ability.
This draft is really deep with DT’s and I bet a decent one will fall to them at number 36.
to me this is the first surprise pick (kind of) and this was the guy i hoped would fall to 7 for the browns.
I figured it was between Berry and Clausen for you lol

Honestly
the Chiefs could just about put a bunch of names on a dart board and throw darts for their picks…they need a lot of help hahaha.
Really, though, this would be a great pick for them and would definitely be one step forward to bringing that team back to division contention.
