Update: Revenge Of The Birds Community Mock Draft: 9th Pick, Buffalo Bills
With the ninth pick of the Revenge of the Birds community mock draft, the Buffalo Bills select...
Bruce Campbell | Offensive Tackle| Maryland
GM: pcock45 - As you may have noticed earlier, I posted the pick for pcock45 because I didn't receive his selection in time yesterday. He did submit it so I will keep the trend going and use his pick instead of who I selected originally. So just to be clear guys, Ronaldo McClain is still available.
Strengths: TALENT. The young man is simply oozing it. He showed at the NFL combine that he has the top flight athleticism to become a bookend left tackle for the next decade. Already has above average technique when he plays hard and with an attitude. Solid in both pass pro and has the potential to dominant in that as well as run blocking. Showed that athletically he is superior to all other O-lineman in the draft at the combine.
Weaknesses: There are a few. He has had durability issues in his college career. Needs to get in a solid pro training program to work on injury prevention. Desire. Campbell has shown at times a lack of drive and motivation and will get lazy on the field. Needs a coach to keep the fire lit. Is he nothing more than a workout warrior?
Why the Bills draft him: Campbell has the talent to be the bookend tackle that they have lacked since trading Jason Peters and the offense has suffered. While they have a lot of holes all over the team and especially on the offensive side they have to shore up the line or no QB or WR will have the time to have an impact. Campbell is the perfect boom or bust prospect in this year's draft as he has flown up draft boards after his stellar combine. He is a big gamble but the payoff will, in the end, be too much to pass up.
Thanks to pcock45 for eventually making this selection, and that puts Spigadang on the clock with the Jacksonville Jaguars selection. Please email me at revengeofthebirds@gmail.comlater today. The picks and remaining GMs are after the jump...

Realisticly I don’t see the Bills picking McClain, right now they have 3 guys fighting for two spots at ILB, and they have needs at OT, NT, OLB that would be filled before ILB. I could see Dan Williams or Anthony Davis selected before hand. If you do another mock and pcock doesn’t want to do it I can fill in…
I was born in Buffalo, and NO, it's not a suburb of New York City
Who's the starter at inside linebacker?
If someone else doesn’t fill in I’ll let you know.
What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.
Revenge of the Birds
Right now they have Paul Posluszny with Andra Davis (he had started for Denver and was a surprise cut) and Kawika Mitchell fighting it out for the number 2 ILB. So they have two starters with at least one vet back up… not a need by comparison to other positions.

Well heck
Somehow I mixed up my days. I apologize guys. Sent the pick in today instead of yesterday. Bruce Campbell was the pick I’d gone with.
Fair enough, I'll fix it for you and go with your pick instead.

So McClain is still on the board and Campbell is off the board.

Revenge of the Birds
Sorry again guys
No idea how that happened, aside from me being a moron. Guess I was hoping to pull a Minnesota Vikings and ge the guy I wanted one spot lower than where I was actually drafting.
With his speed,
could he be moved to TE? Just imagine the possibilities of a 6’7’’ 310 lbs TE who can run a 4.85. He can already block and if he could catch. Yehaw!! What CB would want to tackle him going full speed? Ha, ha, ha. I must really be board.
Life's too short. Be a fan. Orlando Magic, Arizona Cardinals,Tampa Bay Rays and of course "the U"! What a winning combo.
haha
sounds like something to try on Madden!

I don’t see the Bills taking a chance on Campbell, he is too risky for a new coach/gm. Especially considering he needs time to become a consistent LT, the Bills already have two prospect LT on their roster – they need a starting LT though…

I agree he may be a reach
But I can’t see them going another direction and considering the run on OT’s it came down to him or Anthony Davis. Both good options but I think Campbell grades out higher because of the combine. (We all know it shouldn’t matter much but that in the end combine results taint the on field production.)
I agree with the pick
The Bills HAD to get a Left Tackle with their 1st pick (unless Bradford or Clausen were available.) I’m just happy that the run on OT’s has started before Seattle or San Fran has gotten one.
