Cardinals Resign Matt Ware
According to a league source, the Cardinals have agreed on a multiyear deal with safety Matt Ware. Ware is a versatile safety who played in 11 games with one start last season, finishing with 24 tackles and one interception. The six year NFL veteran will enter his fifth season with the Arizona Cardinals in 2010.

Personally I believe this is a step in the right direction. When Matt Ware was absent, it was fairly obvious our pass defense was hurting. While he isn't the flashiest player, he brings stability and experience to the secondary and should be routinely used in the rotation with A-Dub and Kerry Rhodes.

He helps out in the 3 safety package
And the Defense was obviously worse when he got hurt. I’m glad to see him come back. But I don’t know about the pass defense yet, I’ll wait until the draft.
Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan.
I can't stand fair-weather/bandwagon fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad.
i doubt much will happen in the draft to improve the secondary
until at earliest round 3
Never do card tricks for the group you play poker with.
pass rushers in the draft may help out the secondary

If we’re going to run this defensive scheme we have to upgrade our OLB’s. Hopefully we already have.
Great news.
More yet needs to be done to improve the defense. So far we have only been replacing this seasons losses.
In addition to the need for a pass rush, we need to get some additional corner help
We’re one starter away from the secondary being very good.
The LB situation is still the biggest question mark.

I said Yes
but for a certain reason. I think we’ve done all we COULD do to improve our secondary right now. Rhodes was a great addition and signing Ware was a big move. I think we’re moving towards Toler at CB and I don’t think there was really another fit at CB we could have gone after to really strengthen the secondary. So, overall, I think we’ve done all we can right now to improve the secondary.
We need to sign some pass rushers and that will really put it all together.
