Watson is getting ready for next season.

Basically, Watson is trying to recover from the broken kneecap after he fell off a treadmill and he said that he had a hard time moving around on it after the pins and wires were taken out last season.

And it mentioned that he had a torn MCL in the Saints game that I don't remember hearing about.
