Around SBN: Yankees Deny Rumors That Team Is For Sale

Brian Westbrook passed a physical with the St. Louis Rams and is thinking over signing with them.

Although Westbrook has lost a step, he'd be a good option behind Steven Jackson and can fill multiple purposes as a running back. Would he become a threat to the Cardinals if he joined the NFC West?

Always liked Westbrook

He’ll be a good compliment to Jackson if he signs there. Would he be a threat? Yeah, he’s a wiley runner still. Yet with his concussion problems, I’d say the Cardinals are more a threat to him.

+1

3rd down backs are always valuable with their ability to get a fresh set of downs. But if he’s on the field instead of Jackson, at this stage of his career that’s a plus for us.

With his concussion history, they’d be wise to keep him away from ADub.

Yeah he'd be a treat, duh.

See that stiff arm on Aaron Francisco, well, i guess it is Aaron Francisco, lol.

But he’s brian westbrook. Edge was still pretty deadly his last year with us.

Westbrook was one of the premier backs in the league for years but...

I can’t see him being nearly as effective with his concussion issues. I would rather for his own health that he just retire and get on with his life, he had a fantastic career but now not only is he more susceptible to another concussion, he is also in danger of long term effects. I remember when Wayne Chrebet was going through the last year or so, it got pretty ugly. I think Lav. Coles is right about at the same mark now, he has had so many concussions, he doesn’t even have to be hit directly to get another anymore.

Just one reason why Kurt Warner retired also.

What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.

Westbrook always a threat

Giants fan here, and I can tell you the loom and doom the number 36 brings with him. He was almost always a Giants killer when he played, though he barely had an impact last year. If he stays healthy, Westbrook is still a threat when he touches the ball. I still have nightmares when I hear “Westbrook” and “open field”, but his health is in danger each time he plays. He gets wrong one more time he could be out a game, the season, or the rest of his career.

I'm worried about his health.

Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan.

I can't stand fair-weather/bandwagon fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad.
