Arizona Cardinals Quote Of The Day: "I couldn't be a part of an organization like that..."

Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett appeared on a radio show with LaVar Arrington and Chad Dukes on 106.7 the Fan in Washington D.C. recently. He provided his input on defenisve tackle Albert Haynesworth, running back Clinton Portis, and the Redskins organization. Dockett on how he feels about the Redskins and why he wouldn't play for them:

There's a lot of things I don't like. There's a lot of things that I can't accept as far as being a leader. I've never seen an organization that will go out and lose a game on Sunday, and throw a party on Sunday night after a loss, and go out and party all week. I couldn't adapt to that. That's one of the reasons I couldn't be a part of an organization like that...

If we lose, we come back and return after a loss, and we don't even want to go to the gas station. We don't want to show our faces nowhere. Winning means that much to us.

I think a lot of guys on that team, winning doesn't mean anything. I think partying, getting paid, it's a big party...

Wonder what Dock would say

Probably

but to his credit he’d give them their monies worth, unlike the other freeloaders they seem to breed.

Dan Williams should help him out a lot.

Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan [I have always lived in Arizona, dad is from Chicago].

I can't stand fair-weather/bandwagon fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad. And don't switch to whichever team wins the Super Bowl each year.

+1

What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.

I hope he does...

have a huge season…However is it just me or did Whiz and Co. send one hell of a message with how they handled Boldin?

by Cardsfan928 on Jun 19, 2010 8:43 PM MDT reply actions

True but Boldin

complained virtually the entire time he was here after Fitz got his new contract. Yes he quieted down towards the end of his tenure but he was still unhappy. 9-0 seems to have made a complete 180 and has turned in to the kind of player Whiz and Co. want to keep around.
Here’s to hoping he gets a new contract. GO CARDINALS!!!

Possibly

but I think that had more to do with not wanting to commit that much cap money to the WR position, and as cardsfanforlife24 noted Boldin didn’t do himself any favors by making it as personal as he did.

DD rocks!

I think Jessesb is right, DD is going to have a huge year. He has always been a fav of mine, following only A Dub on defense, but this off season he has killed me with his public persona. I’ve been a Twitter user for the last couple of years, but I’m glued to my damn Blackberry waiting for the next installment of DD & (Oprah, Vernon, you choose). With the D-Line we have now I foresee great things for all three of these guys..

GO CARDS!!
