Revenge Of The Birds Fantasy Football League 2010

It's about that time of year again - the official Revenge of the Birds fantasy football league is starting and now's the perfect time to sign up. If you're like me, then part of your football experience every year is playing fantasy football. If you're not, I'd highly recommend checking it out - it can become addicting at times.

Last year, if you ask me, was a bit confusing. This year things are much more clear and SBN has partnered with CBSSports.com to form a great deal. I've never used CBSSports.com before so I won't sit here and tell you how wonderful it is and why you should sign up, but I have heard great things about it. Here's just a few:

  • Customization of entire league, rules, scores, teams +more
  • Ability to manage your league and team on your mobile phone
  • Expert and user generated analysis
  • Live chat/league instant messenger
  • Fast and incredibly accurate live scoring
  • Archived historic league data for future seasons
  • Multiple draft options including auction drafts

I have had a chance to toy around with the layout so far and it is very customizable and user friendly. Overall I'd say it's a great product. Now here's the deal, the normal price to sign up for a CBSSports.com Fantasy Football Commissioner league is $180, but SBN has secured a 50% discount, meaning we can sign up for the best fantasy football league they have to offer at just $90. It may sound like a lot but if you divide it up between 12 players, that would be $7.50 per person.

Revenge of the Birds has been given a free account to start, and I have the unfortunate task of picking the members that will join that league. Therefore, please email me at revengeofthebirds@gmail.com or leave a comment below if you would like to join. Please only respond if you are serious. I see far too often that people who aren't very serious commit to a league and vanish. I'll take every response and evaluate who I believe should join based on how long you've been a member of ROTB or how often you participate on the site.

If you are picked to the ROTB team and you wish to create your own league with the 50% discount, please head to this link to sign up.
CBSSports.com is an SB Nation partner and paying sponsor of the SB Nation football communities. This post is one of a series of sponsor endorsed posts related to the CBSSports.com Fantasy Football Commissioner League

I can’t afford that, even with the discount. I will play on yahoo for free, but have fun those who play here

The cost is per league of teams not per person

So, the commission pays the $90 and if you have a 12 team league, collects $7.50 per member to cover the costs.

CBS is the best for fantasy football period – rules, options, etc. If you want a rule you don’t see send them an email and they will likely add it as an option.

I'm a fan of Yahoo

Scoring is just as quick as CBS and the interface flows better in my opinion. Hate ESPN’s.

If the cost are like Drullin said

Like 7.50 a member, or under 12$ count me in.

They are who we thought they were!

Sorry, not really into fantasy football.

I don’t want to turn into some of the really hardcore people who only watch the game to see the stats that their players get. I want to watch because I love the game.

Although I like to gamble on which teams win their games during each week.

Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan [I have always lived in Arizona, dad is from Chicago].

I can't stand fair-weather/bandwagon fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad. And don't switch to whichever team wins the Super Bowl each year.

Hey Andrew.

Just like last year, you know I’m down. What do you need from me?

Life's too short. Be a fan. Orlando Magic, Arizona Cardinals,Tampa Bay Rays and of course "the U"! What a winning combo.

Fantasy Up!

Hey Andrew,
Been a while since my last post, getting settled here in Iraq (contractor). This is my second time here and fantasy football was a great way to really keep up with the league last time, so I would love to play.

I used to play FF

But out of principal, I would always bench any player who’s team was playing against the Cards. This brought on a lot of losses for me, and ultimately I thought it was unfair for the leagues I played in, so I stopped playing. I am looking forward to seeing some results from the ROTB league though. Good luck to all who play!

We all bleed Cardinal Red, but most of us don't recognize it!

I'm down to play in the ROTB league.

I’ve really only played in Yahoo! leagues, but I’ve made an improvement every year so far, and came away with the championship in the competitive league I was playing with this last year.. I’m ready for bigger and better things, as well as bragging rights. :-p

It must be that time of day, the time to focus on sports.

I'm in if there is still space

I won in a league 2 years ago and then came in dead last in this one last year. I have to redeem myself.
