Thoughts on the Cardinals ratings in Madden 11
Since there is not much else going on.
Matt Leinart: I still think he is too slow in this game, Warner had a 54 for his speed last year and so does Leinart? He should be in the low 60s at the least for speed, he is way more mobile than Warner is. And even though his deep accuracy is bad he will be pretty good on short and medium passes. Hopefully they fixed his throw on the run stat because last year it was a 48 [one of the lowest in the NFL] even though that is something he is good at.
Tim Hightower: Too slow in the game, bump it up to an 86 or an 87, that seems more like how fast he is in real life. Carrying Rating could go down to the low 80s because of all the fumbles he had too. Same with Beanie Wells.
Daryl Washington: Move him to MLB
Early Doucet: Seems good in the game, but he is supposed to be faster to Boldin, move his speed to 88 or 89.
Ben Graham: WAY underrated, should have a rating in the 90s.
Matt Ware: Underrated because of how important he was to the defense and the 3 Safety package.
Andre Roberts: Isn't he supposed to have great hands, and he has a 75 for catching? Bump it up to an 80, maybe an extra point or two for his speed rating. You guys made Dez and Thomas [the guy the Broncos drafted whose first name I don't want to look up] faster than him, and the Broncos guy has a 96 even though they all ran slower 40 times.
The D-Line looks like it will be really good, Darnell Dockett and Calais Campbell will be monsters, and hopefully Dan Williams will step up too.
Pretty solid secondary with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie becoming one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL, Kerry Rhodes is better in the game than Rolle was, Adrian Wilson looks like he will be good in the game too although his catching rating could go up because he had 5 picks last year.
Only two linebackers over 80, I'd say that Clark Haggans could go up a little bit more because he is still a solid player, and Joey Porter should still be good at rushing the passer even though his rating is down a little from last year.
Levi Brown could get a boost to his run blocking stats, Lyle Sendlein is really underrated, the guy has been pretty solid while he was here, yet he is one of the lowest rated starting centers in the game. Also, Lyle is the only one on there who is a better pass blocker than a run blocker.
Anyone have something else they want to point out?

Breaston
should be mid 80’s not 80 overall.
Fitzgerald’s speed has always been underrated (he ran a 4.4 at his combine if I’m not mistaken).
Beanie should be faster as well, when he reaches top speed he’s a monster. Glad to see he still has one of the best stiff arms in the game though with a 98 (even though I suck at timing these and prefer to truck people).
Happy with Toler’s rating.
Ben Patrick’s catching should be better he’s made some awesome receptions in the past.
Even though Levi Brown went through a position change this offseason he was a pro bowl alternate last year and a young one at that. He should be mid 80’s as well.
Sendlein and Graham – enough said.
Dan Williams was the best NT in the draft, an absolute monster of a player with virtually no weaknesses going into the draft, and he’s a 76? Only because we drafted him if any other team did he’d probably be low 80’s.

The rookie ratings are the same no matter where they go
I do think that there shouldn’t be any rookie over 80 though. Until they prove themselves most of the good 1st rounders should be in the mid/low 70s, and most of the draft picks should be in the 60s.

So you mean
that the ratings are purely based off of where they’re drafted not where they’re drafted to? Or are their ratings pre-determined before the draft even occurs? Not quite sure which one you’re saying Joe. If that were the case though I’d agree with that kind of system where they already have a rating regardless of what team they go to.
If you could clarify how they rate the players that’d be great because I’ve never been familiar with how they go about doing that. I just assumed they combined their draft status with what they thought their skill set was and rated them based off that.

just continously tap
the stiff arm button, when running toward a defensive player.
Beanie will take care of the rest.

Curious to know who thinks anyone should be lower rated.
I know we all want to see some of the players improved, but are there any that stick out that are too high? Or did I cross the line with this question? lol
What? I didn't break it, I was just testing its durability, and then I placed it in the woods becuase it's made out of wood and I just thought he should be with his family.
Revenge of the Birds
I was surprised at Porters and Fanecas ratings
Not that I think they are terrible but for how “old and washed up” they are I thought they would be lower.

They are only "old and washed up" because we got them.

Deuce for ballooning up to 400 pounds and possibly losing his starting spot
And Becht, who should have his overall switched with Patrick.
