I decided to check up on the other NFC West blogs (ninersnation, fieldgulls, and turfshowtimes). I decided I'd include three links of articles from each of the blogs. If you guys like it, maybe I can continue this weekly. Anyways, here's what the rest of the west is buzzing about:
Ninersnation.com-For all those 49er Fans
This week was relatively low on the Arizona Cardinals hating, which seems to be a favorite past time for 49er Fans (Silly 49er. Playoff appearances are for Cardinals). An article about how the top 4 Draft Picks were signed by the 49ers; looks like they're getting to business with their Draft Picks, just like the Cardinals.
Another article, this one about how Akili Smith should be in the running for the title of Greatest Draft Bust of All Time. I'm sorry to say this, but I have no clue who Akili Smith is. Before I read the article, it sounded like he was an NFL Analyst or something. Akili. That's a cool name.
This article was about the Top 15 49ers from 1985 to 2009. I'm not even a 49er fan, but why isn't Joe Montana on that list? It makes total sense not to include that one hall of fame QB who won, like, four Superbowls and is, like, considered one of the greatest football players of all time. Makes total sense. Any day.
Fieldgulls-A blog for the team in the city of fog (It rhymes, which makes this article a winner)
The guy who wrote this article must be an eager beaver (Another rhyme, which makes this article win x2). He went ahead a whole year and decided to post a mock draft for the Seahawks in the 2011 NFL Draft. I mean, I'm not saying I want this to happen, but those draft picks he posted could all drop out of college, join the Marines, get transferred to the Middle East, win awards, and then cure cancer. Just saying.
This next article is one guy's goals for the Seahawks. One of those goals is to win a game in Arizona. Ever since the University of Phoenix Stadium opened up in the desert, the Seahawks have never been able to win there. I don't know about you guys, but I'm saying we keep the Seahawks drought (How clever, a desert analogy) going here in the desert.
This one's about the options the Seahawks have at backup QB. One of those options is Charlie Whitehurst. Originally a third-string QB on the Chargers depth, he hasn't played a down in the NFL. He has, however, played a down in the Pre-season. The Seahawks paid a lot to get him. One way to know that the Cardinals are the underdogs: Experts are hating on Derek Anderson, who's played more than one down, but not in 'ol Charlie. Makes sense, right?
Turf Show Times-The old home of our beloved Kurt Warner
This article is a poll article. It's asking the Rams fan's if they think they'll win a division game next year. Apparently, the author thinks the Rams will beat the Cardinals 17-14. This coming from a team that won one game last year. Can one QB really make that much of a difference? I mean, when Troy Aikman first came to the Cowboys, they were still terrible. Anyways, Rams fans are apparently feeling good about their team, because the winning option in the poll was that they'd win a game against all of their rivals. You'll get there one day, Rams, you'll get there one day.
The big news about the Rams is rookie QB Sam Bradford signing. Sam Bradford was drafted #1 overall in this years draft. Apparently, he was signed for $78 million, for six years. That's a lot of money for an unproven rookie. That's close to what Lebron's being paid. Holy team-believes-big-time-in-player!
To wrap it up, this article is about how the author thinks Steven Jackson is the best Running Back in the NFL hands down. He's a good running back, but what about Chris Johnson? Ladanian Tomlinson (Yes, he's getting older, but still)? Adrian Peterson? In the future Chris Beanie Wells? This list could go on and on. Yeah, he's good, but is he really that good?
That wraps up this article/post. If you read it all, go fix yourself a big ice cream sundae, 'cause you deserve it (If you don't like ice cream, eat some gummy bears or something). Please give me your feedback on this! Thank you, and go Cardinals!
