Arizona Cardinals Bird Droppings: Training Camp Edition
Andrew602 note: Sorry for the no-show the last couple days guys. I came down with strep throat and I've been sidelined. Believe me, I wanted to write, but it was too hard. Guess it was just bad timing. Anyway, I'm feeling better and I'll be going strong this week to make it up, starting with an interview tomorrow.
Cards Training Camp is underway
No Kurt Warner, no Anquan Boldin, Carlos Dansby and Antrel Rolle are also no longer with the Cardinals... It's a new era of Cardinals football that began Saturday. A huge crowd turned out in Flagstaff for the start of Cardinals training camp to watch those new look Cardinals.
NFL: 2010 NFC West Wrap-Up - AthlonSports.com
Go west, young man, to find the league’s weakest divisions. Especially in the NFC. The AFC West lacks depth (that’s being kind), but at least it has San Diego, an established AFC power. The NFC West, on the other hand, has no legitimate Super Bowl challengers. The Rams are awful, the Seahawksare rebuilding and the Cardinals are in decline. San Francisco is on the rise and, mostly by default, is the frontrunner for the division title.
The Canadian Press: Confident Leinart says he's "fully prepared" to replace Kurt Warner
Finally, Matt Leinart gets to step out of Kurt Warner's long shadow with a chance to show he indeed can thrive as an NFL quarterback. The former Heisman Trophy winner emerged from the Arizona Cardinals' first training camp workout Saturday smiling and expressing confidence that he is "fully prepared" for the job.
The Associated Press: Roof repair begins at Arizona Cardinals stadium
A storm Thursday caused a piece of the University of Phoenix Stadium's silver outer shell to come off and tear the fabric that's part of the stadium's retractable roof, leaving a 1,500-square-foot hole surrounded by several smaller rips.
Arizona Cardinals undergoing makeover on defense
Though Matt Leinart replacing Kurt Warner at quarterback is the Cardinals' major story line entering this season, that change might have less of an impact on the team's 2010 fortunes than those made on defense.
Time to let Arizona Cardinals' Matt Leinart live in the present
It's time for everyone - fans, teammates and even the Cardinals quarterback himself - to let Matt Leinart live in the present. He has served his penance, awaited his chance in a purgatory defined by a metal sideline bench. The sooner this mutual acceptance takes shape, the better his chances of leading the Cardinals to a third consecutive NFC West title.
Branch, Watson Have Slim Chance
Over and over, coach Ken Whisenhunt has talked about wanting competition everywhere. It pushes his players to be better, and creates a better team. It also has an effect on players coming into training camp.
Deuce's outlook and a limping Sheik - Word From the Birds Blog
Deuce Lutui came out to talk at lunch. The guard was in a good mood — why wouldn’t he be — although he acknowledged he weighed 360 at his physical. He said he didn’t notice that he actually beat out some other linemen in the conditioning test.
Dockett heads to camp - Word From the Birds Blog
It’s turns out Darnell Dockettis on his way up to camp, which he told XTRA 910 a little bit ago. He had his meeting with the brass this morning about his contract, and said he thinks it will all get worked out.

I'm glad to know that Matt Leinart is confident!
It’s nice to see that all the heckling from the media is not affecting his confidence level.
Ok, so what about how they look?
This is same old crap, Im dying to hear about opening weekend summary. Anyone go to camp? Standouts?
Who would win in a fight, Whisenhunt or a Hurricane?
Hold on, hold on, what if the Hurricanes name was Whisenhunt?

Glad to see you're feeling better, Andrew
Keep up the good work.
