Anyone else worried about the Offensive Line?
I am hoping it is just because this is the Preseason and the line still needs to gel a little bit, but the starting O-Line did not look very good to me last night. Just look at the first possession where Leinart got tripped up after Faneca or Sendlein stepped on his foot which resulted in the fumbled handoff, and then how Keith got blown up by Mario Williams on the first sack [Keith looked a lot better the rest of the time he was in the game though].
Houston does have a good Defensive Line, but it seemed like they were getting a lot of pressure on Leinart, and there weren't really a ton of holes for Beanie and Hightower to run through. Hopefully they can get everything worked out.

keith got his ass chewed by grim
If u noticed he was standing up on that block and his feet were squared up with his shoulder I could of knocked him over. He played better when he played lower to the ground.
Wells played like shit
Deuce played well and should be the starter
Fanaca got beet in pass protection for the second sack which was a leinart slip
And the texans played man and blitzed more guys then we can block
Levi played well
The Devil Birds just got cha

Worried.
None of the guys on the line have good reps at pass blocking. Levi, Faneca, and Wells did not look good to me. I thought Sendlein looked ok and Keith looked decent besides getting embarassed by Williams. His protection after was pretty good I thought, and it surprised me a little. Everybody else better step it up.

They will stand together and overcome
Or they will implode and were all screwed.

The O-line was really one of the main reasons Matt Leinart only did decent
He could have done a ton better if they had given him better protection. Even though the O-line messed up, Matt was still able to go 6/7, and didn’t do half-bad. Now, imagine if the O-line was able to give Matt amazing protection. Think of what he could do!
Hopefully, Coach Whiz will make the O-line work all week, and they’ll be ready for next time.
Yeah, when he had enough time to throw he looked pretty accurate.

That toss to Fitz was a bullseye, even though he got lit up on his way down.

through was a little late which led to the hit. that said i thought it was still a good through

They will be fine.
You are right. They did not look good at all. But remember, there has been a a lot of turnover on this line, and guys moved around. It’s just going to take a little time, but these guys will gel together. I trust Whiz, and Whiz says this is the best line we’ve had here. If they still don’t have it together by the last preseason game, then it’s time to panic. But not right now.
+1
first live game action for a restructured line. let’s give them some time.

they will be fine...
Kieth will have a curve, Faneca’s lost step will have to be watched on pass downs, but Levi, Sendelien, and even Lutui looked solid. Wells was ok but I think Lutui will beat him out in the next few weeks. I thought the 2nd team OL played very well DA had plenty of time to wind up and throw inteceptions LOL!
It’s preseason boys go easy on them!
+1
Lutui has to get out of the dog house first but he will be our starter come the regualr season. If Keith doesn’t pick up the pace we do have a solid back up in Bridges.

keith played fine, he had one mistake that EVERYONE and their blind uncle saw
apart from that he did well

At the game I didn't notice him after the big blow up so he must have improved
That said, I still don’t think the starters played as well as I expected them to.

I
can’t believe people are already worried with only one preseason game in. First off it doesn’t mean anything to win or lose this game. Second the team knows they need to work on things and make adjustments. Everything will be OK.
I understand it's only preseason
And thus I am not panicking but it is worrisome to see the line perform that poorly.

I did say that I was hoping it was just preseason jitters and that the Line still needs some time to gel.
Hopefully they look better next week.
