8-19-10: Arizona Cardinals Training Camp Update

Again, with training camp winding down there isn't a ton of news. But I have a few things that I can post on here.

The morning practice on Friday has been canceled, so if you are heading up to Flagstaff don't try to make the morning practice. Although they will still be out there in the afternoon.

Coach Whiz thinks that Marshay Green has earned a chance to play more in the Preseason games. He also has a chance at making the roster. I was impressed by some of the plays he made last weekend.

Kent Somers expects Doucet to sit out at least until the preseason finale. Hopefully he can stay healthy for the entire year once he comes back, but seeing some of the rookies with the 1s and 2s will be pretty interesting.

Coach Whiz expected the offense to struggle last night. The practice was designed for that to happen, and the defense threw a lot of new looks at the offense [they have also been blitzing constantly as a way of helping Leinart get used to that from what I saw on another article I posted a couple days ago]. Leinart also said the Titans do more defensively in Preseason games than the Texans do.

Leinart made a throw into the garbage can from 45 yards out in windy weather after practice ended. Leinart took a bow and Anderson started mocking him for it. Feely and Fitzgerald also played the game and Feely won.

I couldn't find much else. Skelton and Hall were picked off by Toler and Jefferson, but from what I've seen on here practice was pretty uneventful.

Urban also said he will be posting updates from the Titans/Cardinals joint practice next week so I will try to get some of those up here as well.
