8-20-10: Arizona Cardinals Bird Droppings
After the jump. an idea that I want to try out occasionally as something extra for this segment.
Leinart out to prove doubters wrong: It will be fun watching the media people eat crow if he does prove them wrong.
Deuce and Herman battling weight concerns:
Slotting Max Komar: Possible Welker clone... even though we were saying that about Lance Long last year.
The Big Red Rage, with guest Daryl Washington: He really ran a 4.41?
Dockett vs Grimm:I'd like to see Grimm in his prime lined up against 9-0.
Matt Leinart is like many, just trying to find a job: He is just like all of us, except hes rich.
Grimm coaches reshuffled Offensive Line: Hopefully he chewed them out after that last game too.
Year of reckoning at hand for Matt Leinart: Featuring HardHat in the comments section.
Relatively successful camp wrapping up:
Washington filling a void: I forgot to post this in one of the previous ones, so he here it is now.
Takeaways from "The Tillman Story": Anyone see it yet?
Here is another idea I have for this segment. I want to occasionally post videos at the end of these things, mostly highlight videos. Anyone interested in that?
Lets start off with one of Larry Fitzgerald

Matt Leinart, Coach Wiz and Rotation stratagy.
I hope that coach Wis continues to have the fortitude to play the best QB on the roster whoever that might be. That is a winning move. Another winning move is expecting every RB and Reciever to know the playbook by heart. All these skilled position players are NFL quality professionals and should be ready to take the field and perform at the NFL level. Having said that, the best winning stratagy is to continually change these players on every down, except the QB. This keeps the opponents on their heels not knowing who to key on. It also keeps the complete roster sharp and fresh, not only for the game but for the entire season. A guy like Fitzgearald or Beanie Wells are always decoys when not involved as the playmaker. When they are utilized it will have somewhat of a surprise factor attached to their play. If they are in all the time and used frequently it is easy for the opponents to key on them and cause injuries. Playing your complete roster and expecting each player to perform as an NFL professional, until he proves otherwise, is the best way to prepare for the playoffs with an experienced roster. This gives every player a chance to showcase his abilities by making the plays he is supposed to. It also gives the coaching staff the ability to evaluate those players who are not NFL quality. I predict that the Cardinals will not only make the playoffs with this stratagy but also will win the Superbowl because injuries will have a limited effect with everone playing in every game. I also strongly suggest Coach Wiz go back to the platooning of QBs until a clear winner takes the position. I say change Quarterbacks on each series of down. They either perform at the NFL level or they don’t. We may even find that we can win playing two quarterbacks as long as every player on the field knows the playbook by heart. Who cares what quarterback executes the correct play for positive results. Who cares what receiver catches the ball for a positive play and who cares what running back moves the ball forward? All I want to see is a team effort that results in wins and with everyone sharing the glory as they cheer for one another. If coach Wiz shows faith in all his players they will reward him by playing at the hight of their abilities, even the QBs, if they are not selfish and respect each others ability to perform. Everyone must be made to understand that the team effort is the most imprtant aspect of winning and being a starting player does not excuse you from poor performance nor does not being a starting player excuse you from a poor performance. In fact it may prove that you can not perform at an NFL level and you may find yourself out of a job altogether, because everyone on the roster will play in every game with the expectation of no drop off in execution and to be able to win by being in better physical condition near the end of the game then the opponents who will rely on the stamina of their starters playing most of the game. This stratagy must be explained and executed with precision as players are shuffled on and off the field between plays. the results will be positive only if every player commits the playbook to memory. Who knows, we may end up with two very good NFL starting QBs, several very good RBs and more than a handfull of good receivers. Too much for most NFL teams to beat, especially when our players are always fresh.
Agree about the professionalism required/expected
but have to respectfully disagree about the rotating QB system. It’s too important of a position, especially in terms of leadership, to constantly have shuffled around. It would be very difficult, if not impossible, to expect the QB’s to get into any kind of rhythm that way, you also don’t want a divided locker room over who should be getting the snaps. I still agree with the saying that if you have two quarterbacks you have none.

I can't stand fair-weather/bandwagon fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad. And don't switch to whichever team wins the Super Bowl each year.
Loved the video segment!
Did you notice the shot of Matt throwing to Larry in the Titans game made it into the film.
