I said that I was going to wait until Sunday or Monday to post another one of these, but I didn't know I would find so many links. Using the SBN Clipper than Andrew said I should try out makes it a lot easier too. So, here we go.

In the afternoon the media partook in a training camp staple; trying to figure out if Matt Leinart has the moxie to be the next quarterback of the Arizona Cardinals.

Star-divide

KTAR.com - Leinart ready to take on a larger leadership role
Given his position alone, Matt Leinart is among the leaders of the Arizona Cardinals. But with Larry Fitzgerald sidelined for perhaps the remainder of the pre-season, the fifth year quarterback out of USC believes the door is now open for him to take on an even larger leadership role.

By general consensus, he is no worse than the second best receiver in the NFL. Unfortunately, the man responsible for getting him the ball this year is no longer a Hall of Fame-caliber quarterback--he may not even be a starting-caliber quarterback.

Arizona Cardinals Fantasy Preview: Can Leinart Replace Warner in 2010? | Bleacher Report
The Cardinals have had a successful three-year run since hiring head coach Ken Whisenhunt, winning eight, nine, and 10 games and going to the 2008 Super Bowl, only to lose to the Steelers on a last-minute touchdown.

While the 49ers are a popular pick to win a vulnerable NFC West, a web site that has found it’s niche crunching NFL numbers isn’t so sure.

The Canadian Press: Ken Whisenhunt praises Arizona Cardinals' intensity as camp wraps up
Maybe it's the thin air. Perhaps it's all those forecasts that Arizona's reign atop the NFC West is about to come to an end. Whatever the reason, coach Ken Whisenhunt said one of the things that pleased him most in his fourth training camp at Northern Arizona University was the intensity of the Cardinals' practices.

Arizona Cardinals' starting cornerback spot is 2-man dead heat
Greg Toler and Trumaine McBride are locked in a battle for the starting right side cornerback position and defensive coordinator Bill Davis is calling it a virtual "dead heat."

Arizona Cardinals' Mike Jones eager for chance
Former Arizona State receiver Mike Jones couldn't wait to get another shot in the NFL after being released earlier this month by the Seahawks.

Arizona Cardinals' Jim Dray would rather look like an NFL tight end
"We call him Dave Matthews every day," quarterback Matt Leinart said. Tight end coaches were the first to spot the resemblance between the 23-year-old Dray and the 43-year-old singer and actor.

And .. we’re .. just .. about .. done
The Cardinals held their last afternoon practice of Flagstaff, much to the delight of the players. They don’t hold much love for this place, and it’s all because training camp is here. They moved through their work pretty quickly — coach Ken Whisenhunt shut it down about 30 minutes early — and will have a final practice tomorrow morning.

Scrutinizing Leinart
Early in the week, coach Ken Whisenhunt watched Matt Leinart throw a 42-yard touchdown pass in practice during a two-minute, 11-on-11 drill. At worst, it looked like a close call, and the offense thought Stephen Williams was in bounds. Whisenhunt called it no good – just to see how Leinart would respond.

I would love this prediction to come to pass. I don’t buy it for a minute but it would be so sweet. 9ers at the bottom of the barrel!

Same here

I think the 49ers will be between 8 and 10 wins, and I don’t think their prediction will come true. But if so, I will dance a happy jig.

Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan [I have always lived in Arizona, dad is from Chicago].

I can't stand fair-weather/bandwagon fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad. And don't switch to whichever team wins the Super Bowl each year.
