Larry Fitz Fantasy football question

What's up cards fans.  Goodluck to you this year, I have always rooted for the Cardinals especially with Mr. Warner.  I had a questions about Larry Fitzgerald's fantasy potential this year...

1.) Losing Kurt Warner and replacing him with Leinert- how bad does this hurt?

2.) Losing Boldin- will this mean more opportunies for Larry?

3.) Newly formed goal for emphasis on the running game- all i have been hearing about is how Chris Wells is going to get a ton of touches, is this true?

All your opinions are greatly apprecaited.  I have the #10 pick in the fantasy draft and I have always loved Larry.  He is just a great person and I would love to have my #1 pick be reliable and explosive.  There is no doubt in HIS ability and potential the only questions is do the Cards have a QB to allow him to fill all of his potential.

Faith, Focus, Finish.

Thanks again.

Losing Warner hurts, but everyone seems to forget that Leinart had a very good rookie year considering how bad the team around him was. Obviously there will be a dropoff, but most of us around her do feel good about Leinart and we think that if he can just be consistent the Cardinals can win the division.

Losing Boldin does give Larry more chances, I would agree with that. The offense will not be pass first anymore, but it will be more balanced, and Leinart likes playaction passes that could give Larry more of a chance to get deep and catch the bomb. So even if there are less passes, the passes for over 40 yard gains could go up since that was basically nonexistent last season after Warner’s shoulder injury early in the year.

Yeah, Beanie is going to be more of a factor this year, he came on strong throughout the middle of the season when the Cardinals tried to get a running game going, he has had a very good offseason, and he has looked explosive in training camp. Look for him to get around 1000-1200 yards and maybe double digit touchdowns this year.

I'll just say this

In 2004, his rookie season, Fitz had 58 catches, 780 yards and 8 TD’s with Josh McCown as his QB. Improved offense and arguably better QB… His stats should be good this year. I only expect his TD’s to drop, I would be surprised if he catches more than 10.

I think Jesse and Joe are on point here

I would still expect 1000 yards, maybe as much as 1300 yards, and probably somewhere between 9 and 13 TDs. He’ll obviously be Leinart’s top target, and no one can deny how talented Mr. Fitz is. I don’t think he would hurt your fantasy team.

We all bleed Cardinal Red, but most of us don't recognize it!

thanks guys.

i know Larry fitz is so rediculously talented but I am actually considering my first pick at 10 to pick him.

Over guys like Michael turner, Reggie Wayne, Mendenhall… still think its a good move?

Depends on who's available really

I don’t think most people are projecting him in the first round anyway with ML as the starter. You at the tenth pick can probably still get him early in the second round of a snake draft if you’re patient. Is it a 10 team league or 12?

In my experience, it’s not to wise to get caught up on one particular player anyways. Instead look for best availabe.

12 team league

with PPR

I agree with your assesement but I am normally pretty good at predicted whose going to be there before the draft happens and I think I got at shot at him and I think the 2 top QBs will be gone as well. Thats just the trend our league is in. You can expect WRs to fly in rounds 2-3 and thats why my strategy is most liekyl going to be wr-wr

Remember that Warner's arm (shoulder?) was bothering him last year and he couldn't go deep.

Not that Leinert is the strongest arm QB around, but I think Larry’s total yards were affected. There are many other factors involved but as for reliable and explosive how can you go wrong with Larry ?

Warner never had a connon either though.

I’d say the two of them were pretty similar in arm strength.

Wasn’t warner hurting for a good portion of last year ? either his arm or shoulder ? He was more of the precision sniper than a connon or cannon.

I need to start checking to make sure I spell these things correctly...

In my defense, an o looks a lot like an a when you are not paying attention. And I mentioned earlier that Warner had the injury. Warner was never someone who could throw it through a wall like Favre, but he was still accurate throwing downfield, and that is what counts.

A big arm means nothing when you can’t hit anything with it (JaMarcus).
