Which of the following statistics in your eyes has the best likelihood of coming to fruition? And why?
A. Matt Leinart throws over 25 TDS
B. Hightower and Beanie combine for over 2500 yards rushing
C. Dockett collects 15 sacks
D. DRC gets 9 interceptions
E. Derek Anderson throws over 25 TDS
F. 9-7 regular season record
I would venture to say Leinart does throw for over 25 TDS, wear and tear finish up less than 2500 yards but over 1800 cards will shock everyone by not being a run first team, and will continue to air the ball out.
Dockett finishes up with less than 15 sacks, he'll need to share the wealth with Porter, Campbell, and Baggs. And DRC picks off less than 6, Derek Anderson sees no more than 1 game and thats due to a Leinart injury.
And the redbirds yet again finish up the season in 9-10 win range, but do not make noise in the playoffs because there are too many teams that are better than us right now. That's not to say we are not a good team but rather a team that if lives up to my expectations is only a season or two from being seriously considered for a Superbowl before the season begins much as Dallas, New Orleans and the Indianapolis are considered.
So my vote goes to A.
