Around SBN: What If This Is It For The Celtics? End Of An Era Looming

In his first game as a Raven, Anquan Boldin caught 7 passes (10 targets) for 110 yards against the Jets earlier today on a game that the Ravens won 10-9.

I'm glad that he played well in his first game. Hopefully he can have a productive season in Baltimore, even though he isn't a Cardinal anymore I'm still a fan of him.

Agreed.

He was one of my main reasons for watching the game. Oh and hopefully to see Rex Ryans fat mouth get slapped shut.

Anquan Boldin was the first player I ever played with in a Madden game

Him and Antrelle Rolle, which is funny since they’re both gone now. I wish Boldin was still on the team, but I’m not going to dwell about it.

Though it would be mean to wish him a bad season, because when he was healthy, he played his best for the team. Good luck in Baltimore, Q!

not me

not the way he treated the team & his coaches. say what you will about him as a teamate but the way he handled the situation was disappointing. I loved him up until he threw his tantrum. I had a real live man crush on the guy. Although I do wish he stays healthy I hope he has an unproductive season. Anyone who turns on the Cardinals the way he did doesnt deserve our fan fare, not if you have been a fan threw the thick and thin. Remember guys its not about the player its about the team. Up until two seasons ago Boldin was the ultimate team member, not anymore.

Never do card tricks for the group you play poker with.

Seriously?

Even while he was “throwing a tantrum,” he was still coming to play on Sunday’s. Even though he was constantly playing through injuries that would’ve sidelined other “diva” WR’s for a month.

Yeah, he had some issues with his contract situation, and in the end wanted out of the desert, but you just can’t say he was bad for the team. The guy played his heart out here, and I, for one, hope he has a monster season in Baltimore..

It must be that time of day, the time to focus on sports.

I was rooting for Boldin

Even with having the jets as my fantasy defense.

agreed Joe

I was pulling for him, and he looked strong. he looked like the Ravens best option in the passing game which makes me smile. I have two Boldin #81’s so….

You can't hate Boldin

You can’t take Boldin’s departure personally. What matters to me is that no matter what happened he worked his ass off and was a warrior on the field. He played his heart out for the Cardinals every game he could. I was pulling for him last night and I thought it was awesome that he did so well. He deserves to have some success, I will be watching the Ravens this year.

Boldin was and still is The Man

Ya he was unhappy with his contract even tho he was the one that signed it. Still I give him props for bringing it all to every game. Loved watching him play yesterday he made a big contribution to the Ravens. Now I hope some folks that have their finger on the Cardinal panic button watched because the Ravens played pretty crappy too.

Wish I could have seen the game last night.

Ravens loaded up the offense for Flacco. I was expecting something more than 10 points.

by hadrarius on Sep 14, 2010 6:38 PM MDT reply actions

Flacco looked alot like Anderson

He missed quite a few passes. both teams were hot and cold and either team coulda won but the Ravens wanted it more. I was expecting a much better game myself

The Jets still have a damn good Defense

Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan [I have always lived in Arizona, dad is from Chicago].

I can't stand fair-weather/bandwagon fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad. And don't switch to whichever team wins the Super Bowl each year.

You know the best part about Boldin getting 7 catches for 110 yards?

Steve Breaston getting 7 catches for 132 yards, a tackle and a forced fumble.
