Looking forward as the 2010 season approaches!
With the 2010 season just 5 days away the Cardinals made their cuts to get down to the magic number of 53 but will it be the week 1 roster? As of now the team is carrying only three OLB's in Will Davis, Clark Haggans and Joey Porter - I think most would agree depth at the position needs to be addressed. With that being said what do you think the Cardinals will do? Are there any position based concerns you have whether it's a starter or the depth? In my opinion the roster looks good but needs a few tweaks and then the Cardinals will be ready for battle. It's almost game time gentlemen... so smile!

We have a crowded secondary
Odds are we lose a safety or corner and pick up an OLB 3 is a scary number especially when 2 of them are over 30 and one is a sophomore.

I am not real confident in the depth at corner but I do believe we need to thin the secondary and add an olb.
Money Mike has looked good but I haven’t heard anything about his injury status. I think we could use a corner with a bit more height. It seems that the division (league for that matter) is getting taller at wide receiver. Green looked okay in the preseason but his size concerns me. A.J. – I didn’t think he did much in his time on the field but he has size.
Adams, Michael CB 5-8 181 25 4 Louisiana-Lafayette
Green, Marshay CB 5-9 175 24 R Mississippi
Jefferson, A.J. CB 6-0 190 22 R Fresno State
McBride, Trumaine CB 5-9 185 24 4 Mississippi
Rodgers-Cromartie, Dominique CB 6-2 182 24 3 Tennessee State
Toler, Greg CB 6-0 192 25 2 Saint Paul’s (Va.)
Jefferson is most likely to be cut.
He didn’t stand out in any way. I would like having more corners taller than 5’9". McBride I could see going in a trade. Adams is staying. Green should stick because of what he has to offer on special teams.
I thought he was getting the ax before Green but one this offseason has taught is to be open to surprises!
Yeah, right?
I did think Jefferson had a pretty good game Wk 4, finally. I imagine he has a little more potential, based on size and speed, too.
Green’s still a factor on the PS.
Unfortunately no
I haven’t been able to keep up on who some stars might be from other teams being released.

Adalius Thomas?
Is he floating around out there?
Well after the post 53 cuts of....
….Marshay Green, Pago Togafau, and Reagan Maui’a we’re still at 6 CB’s but we drop to 3 at ILB. I’m kinda surprised Green got cut instead of Jefferson but it could be his diminutive stature – 5’9" 175lbs – that sealed the deal. I love the pick up of McDonald but now we’re even more so thin at both LB spots. I know they picked up an OLB from Green Bay but that doesn’t sound like depth more like a PS player. I wonder what the plan is to address those needs.
