9-6-10: Arizona Cardinals Bird Droppings
Happy Labor Day everyone, not much to report now besides Leinart sigining a deal with the Houston Texans, and a couple of other roster moves. I do think that Houston was a good choice for Leinart, Kubiak is good at developing Quarterbacks, Matt Schaub is injury prone, and the Texans have Andre Johnson. Good luck on the new team Leinart, besides when they play us of course. Maybe now you could get another shot at beating Vince Young.
Time for some links.

The Cardinals haven’t been releasing any info officially today, but as the NFL churns after final cuts, the Cards have apparently done a couple of things, like cut CB Marshay Green, LB Pago Togafau and FB Reagan Maui’a and claim three players who were released: former Giants FB/LB Jerome Johnson, former Browns CB Brandon McDonald, and former Packers LB Cyril Obiozor.

Did Whisenhunt Trade a Personal Headache For a Professional One? | Bleacher Report
It's the scenario that was waking Ken Whisenhunt up at night. What if, given ridiculously limited pre-season opportunities and horrible down and distance situations, Matt Leinart actually makes some big throws and moves the Cardinal offense? What if, without Larry Fitzgerald, any semblance of a running game, and an evening mist masquerading as an offensive line, the snotty little punk moves the football team? Would he then be stuck with the guy? Could he tolerate a season where his signal caller was a guy that he'd despised and disparaged from day one?

you didn't have to...
but you did post that Hamza Abdullah video link, and I thank you very much! I’ll give you some mad kudos for that…
The most interesting link: the first one, which ranks NFL coaches. Not only is Whiz (well deservedly) number 8 (pretty good considering that the others ahead of him have won Championships; Fisher and Reid have conference ships), but our ol’ pal Matt Leinart provides the complimentary quote for Whiz. Ironic at the least, and shines a good light on Whiz at the best. I think Whiz is the man, and don’t agree with most of the criticism that he is getting over this Leinart-situation. In Whiz WE trust. I would think that others would have a little more faith in the coach who helped LEAD us back from the dead.
Peacefully sincere,

In Whiz we trust.
I’ve said it before—I thought Leinart would have been better than Anderson—But if Whiz didn’t think that—MY OPINION IS WORTHLESS.
Leinart to Houston is fine with me. We don’t play them this year…until the Superbowl.
As a backup to Schaub (unless there’s an injury) there at least wont be any commentary on how badly Whiz may or may not have screwed up.

I wonder when Matt gave that quote though.

WOW, don’t know if you are responsible or another of the head cheeses, but threatning to bann someone because they don’t agree with the populace or think that the managment and the ownership are making dumb mistakes, is childish. You guys come on over to the 49ers board and talk trash, making fun of our team, and Fooch don’t threaten to bann you. I keep my comments clean and while, yes, they do poke fun at you guys, they are in the spirit of competition. Using your “power” to threaten a unwarented bann is rediculous. It’s not my fault that you guys are having QB problems now and we are not. Leinart was still the best QB that you had and Anderson is a joke. Maybe it was the Hahaha’s that irritated you but maybe I’m irritated from all the arrogant comments that have come from this side about the 49ers. Lets try to keep it fair and not threaten banns when they aren’t warrented.
Thankyou. Look forward to the gameday chats. Besides, I’m a 49ers fan but have liked the Cards for a while. Not my favorite team, but up there. Maybe it all the Smith bashing that made me throw some stuff back your guy’s way cause believe me, your blog deserved it. : )
Who threatened to ban you again?

It didn't say, just gave me a warning about a ban.

BTW, I never said that it was Andrew, I don't know who did it, but think it was a bit much.

Sorry someone warned you. That shouldn't happen around here just for an opposing view point.
Thanks for at least being good spirited about it.

If Anderson is a joke..
then what is Alex Smith? Last time I checked, Anderson’s career QB rating was higher than Smith’s.
"I don't lift weights because they are heavy, and I don't run because it makes me tired." - Charles Barkley
TURRIBLE!
Anderson posted a whopping 42 Qb rating last year.
He threw 3 TD’s to 10 INT’S last year. He had a good year in 2007, but still threw 19 INT’s and has only regressed since. Maybe he has a good year for you guys, maybe not. I just believed that Leinart was the best choice for you. You are right, Smith has had bad times too, but last year these two guys are light years apart from a production standpoint. Like I said, Anderson might have a good year or just decent and not suck it up, but I would not be confident in him untill he does something. Barely 50% in the preseason, and the first 2 games are against backups is not something to be happy about. Just sayin’.
by ericalancanty on Sep 6, 2010 4:40 PM MDT up reply actions
Anderson is a 69.7
Smith is a 69.2, nothing to brag about.

Anderson's 2007 stats
The 29 touchdowns, 19 interceptions and 14 sacks are on par for a typical Kurt Warner season. If he can play like he did in 2007 we’ll be ok. If he can get his completion % up 5 to 10 points even better. The last 2 seasons he had were god awful. Then again he was on a god awful team too. I can’t say I’m perfectly comfortable with Anderson yet. We’ll just have to wait and see.
BTW I don’t think it was the Hahaha’s so much as the “What a bunch of morons” comment that set a few people off.
I do agree, the Cards are way better than Cleveland, maybe he gets it all together.
I used the word Idiots and you are right, it was inappropriate, I was just surprised that so many voted for a guy that never really got a chance to play a meaningful game since Warner retired to name him the biggest bust of all time (AZ). But like someone pointed out, the other names aren’t as recognizable….I didn’t really know who they were.

Agree he shouldn't be leading that poll.
A little background on each player with regard to why they are deserving to be on the ballot would have been a help. I don’t imagine too many people did any research first.
without question this poll was skewed by immediacy and yet the winner should be wendell bryant. lol.
