Question Of The Day: Do You Trust Max Hall As The Arizona Cardinals Backup QB?

We're just days away from the Arizona Cardinals kicking off their season against the St. Louis Rams. When they take the field on Sunday at the Edward Jones Dome they'll do so with an undrafted rookie as the backup to starting quarterback Derek Anderson.

Max Hall will be one of only three rookies to be a backup quarterback in the NFL this season. Do you trust Hall, and his skills, enough to be comfortable with him as the Cards second string quarterback for the 2010 season?

Actually.

Seems to me like they’re suggesting retail work for Max Hall if the NFL thing doesn’t work out. Probably a vote for no.

I thought that is what everyone was saying about Leinart?

I can't stand fair-weather/bandwagon fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad. And don't switch to whichever team wins the Super Bowl each year.

Matt Ryan , Joe Flacco and Matthew Stafford

and kind of Mark Sanchez ( I have my issues with him if it wasn’t for the defense and run game he would of led his team to the 3 win season at most in fact he doesn’t get to be apart of the above 3) They all started as Rookies and they all proved they could come out and play well and yes they all had help but Max Hall has all the intangibles they have as well as a running game looking to take off and a Defense that should be nasty as hell, not to mention the best WR corp in the league. Give the kid a chance I don’t think he will let us down. Lets just hope DA plays well enough so that we don’t have to throw him to the wolfs just yet.

Kind of have to trust him.

Dont have a choice

I would like to know what realy happened with Matt? Why was DA the only QB brought in? Anyone?

Yes and No

Do I want to see him take more than a few snaps at clean up time, No … Is he better than Leinart, Yes

by quid pro quo on Sep 6, 2010 9:34 PM MDT reply actions

Right now he's higher on a depth chart than Leinart.

That said, you are probably right.

I once tried to quit a job using a dry erase board. Unfortunately I wrote the first part in Sharpie so I couldn't finish.

Eh why not?

If I don’t have blind optimism about the upcoming season then that Sunday Ticket money is as good as blown.

Well, Whisenhunt does...

… So that’s good enough for me. I liked Hall before the draft and am really happy we got him. So, I voted yes.

I thought he would be the QB we drafted instead of Skelton

In wiz we trust

Halls ability to make plays is what set him apart and gives us good hope or future in him.

Than i did with leinart……. At least hall as some balls and can move the chains.

+1

My impression too… Hall definitely outplayed Leinart (and probably Anderson, too). If this guy is half as good as he looked in the preseason, he’s going to be challenging for the start before too long.

Dave, take a deep breath

He hasn’t even played against starters yet. I love the potential but lets keep some perspective.

by Birdman from Mesa on Sep 7, 2010 10:26 PM MDT up reply actions

I know, I know

…it’s only preseason, he’s still a rookie, etc, etc.

Still it’s hard to believe Derek Anderson will make it through 16 starts without getting injured or pulled for suckitude. And we have seen some guys come out and do very well as rookie starters (Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco). No reason Hall can’t couldn’t join those guys…

peter king did a bit of digging

In his latest monday morning quarterback. Hall’s college stats are astounding, I cant believe that he wasnt drafted.

by Irishcardinal on Sep 7, 2010 2:28 PM MDT via mobile reply actions

I knew Hall was popular but 85% on this poll is a surprise.

I’ll just plagiarize Whisenhunt and say I’m as comfortable with a rookie back up as I can be.

Yes? No? Maybe, I dunno? I'm making waffles, and I'm handin' 'em out to everybody

Get ‘em while they’re hot!

Anderson has been durable. He’s a big guy. We managed to keep Warner alive for two more years, and DA is younger. I haven’t seen anything from him for which I am displeased. I’m going to continue avoiding the question until I see more from him.

I haven't seen a weakness yet....

there has to be a weakness to Hall’s game but I haven’t seen it yet. that said, you have to trust your eyes, our eyes. haven’t seen anything from him yet that makes me nervous. rookie does not always equal = too raw to handle it. some rookies fare better than others…Hall looks legit

YES!

So far, great preseason play…moved the offense and has some moxi/swagger….Honestly I cant wait to see what he can do as the starter either this season or down the road.

If you Have a question for Max Hall you can Ask him in Person and while you Are there
Get His Autograph and Picture with him. He will be the starting QB in the 3rd Quarter
