Question Of The Day: Is Darnell Dockett The Face Of The Arizona Cardinals?
Darnell Dockett isn't shy about much. Whether it's his opinion on the 49ers, his desire to get a new contract or is body on Ustream, 9-0, as he likes to call himself, isn't afraid to share things. Between his play on the field and his off the field personality, he is constantly making headlines. But, with the departure of Kurt Warner, does his outward nature make him the new "face" of the Arizona Cardinals?
Sure, it's not a clear cut answer but that's what makes it a fun question of the day. Vote in the poll and debate it in the comment section below. And remember, even if you vote no to Darnell as the face of the organization, at least his voice is always trashing the 49ers.

My thing is that Fitzgerald is quiet and, outside of on the field, pretty unassuming. Darnell is consistently out there
I once tried to quit a job using a dry erase board. Unfortunately I wrote the first part in Sharpie so I couldn't finish.

but Fitz
is still the face of the franchise, i’d say.
Dockett is becoming the public persona of the Cards, but Fitz is still the guy that outsiders identify as the Cards. The Madden cover probably cements that as well.
+1
Also his charity events, off season receivers camp and generally good guy personality keep him in the fore front. I love 9-0 though! He cracks me up.

I disagree.
9-0 may be a character, but he is a hard worker and goes 100% on the field. Aside from 9-0 being 9-0 (twitter, trash talk, etc…), he’s not been anything but a model player since he skipped voluntary two seasons ago. But Fitz is probably the more recognized face (and works just as hard on and off the field).
Fitz is the man
I love Dockett and how he became a leader this offseason, but Fitz is the only Cardinal considered among the best players in the league, his performances the last two seasons have been great, and while he is not as active on twitter, he does his thing on and off the field, great player and great work ethic… as much as Docket has improved and will continue improving and maybe become the greatest Cardinal defender ever, at this point I am not sure if he or Adrian Wilson is the face of the defense… DRC may have something to say too… GO CARDINALS

I picked no
And its not for a lack of love for Darnell its just think about all the teams in the NFL. I don’t no about you but the first player I think of is the QB whether they are good or bad QB are the face of the franchise. I love Wilson DRC Fitz all of them and yes Mr.Anderson has done a whole lot of nothing up to this point but the team will live and die by his arm this year.
Remember no matter where you go in life...there you are!

Not sure I agree with you.
I’ll admit it is often the QB, but the face of the franchise has to be somebody more permanent than some of these QBs. Fitz is more the face than Anderson (and probable 9-0 and Wilson as well). Is Vince Young or Chris Johnson the face of Tennesee? I’d pick Andre Johnson for the Texans and would still pick Lewis for the Ravens (though they finally have a consistent enough QB in Flacco).
Fitz is the face.
9-0 is the voice.
AW is the muscle.

Voted for No
Right now, I’ll say Whiz is it.
No
9-0 is great, but I have to go with Fitz or A-Dub here.
Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan [I have always lived in Arizona, dad is from Chicago].
I can't stand fair-weather/bandwagon fans, stick with your team, throughout the good and the bad. And don't switch to whichever team wins the Super Bowl each year.
Dockett may be the most verbal guy that stands out the most...
But outside of Cardinal land he is viewed as arrogant. He is a very talented player, one that any team would love to have, but he puts the team in bad situations with all the trash talking. Larry Fitz is not a trash talker, and represents the Cardinals much better from a leauge standpoint. My vote would go to Fitz.
I know that a lot of people on your blog hate him.

Easy Answer!
Last few years who do you think of when it came to the Bengals? Right, becouse he put himself there. Same with Dockett. Warner was the Gandalf of the NFL, Fitz is more like the Golden Boy(the Elf). NO WAY is Dockett the dwarf.
Our whole demenor has changed and Dockett fits the bill.
Fitz, A-Dub, then 9-0...
Ive got Dockett after Larry and Adrian…however 9-0 is certainly the most vocal on the team and is certainly a co-leader/face on defense alongside A-Dub.

Gotta agree
With most people on here. Fitz is the face (he sells the most jerseys, is the best player, and is most associated with Cards), But 9-0, is the voice.
Dockett really is the model of what a pro athlete should be. Never takes a play off, is cocky but not arrogant, loyal to his team and teammate, and not only tries to get better, but does get better. He outplays his contracts instead of just settling for a payday… And off the field he is a model citizen… He may talk smack but so……. the 9ers suck ass and need to be talked trash to. they havent done jack in years and didnt get much better in the offseason yet everyone wants to annoint them the division… So as long as 9-0 keeps working hard and doin what he doe, i got no problem with his trash talking. He is a character, but not in the annoying ocho cinco or t.o. way…..
And like someone said, Wilson is the muscle…. He’s my favorite player and the only jersey i have deemed worthy of buying(although dockett is next)…. The guy just gets it done and makes receivers think 2x about being anywhere near the middle of the field.
