Our LB Depth sucks!
I am concerned about our depth at LB.
I really like our starters, but I hate our back-ups (except Davis, like him). But how can a guy like cyril be better then Cody Brown. Brown has been in the system for a year and a bit and I would wager that he would be better stopgap then cyril until Scho is ready. And Reggie Walker does not belong in the NFL. Are we expecting haggans and porter to play full games? Is Davis ready for a bigger load? I think that will greatly increase chance of injury for those old guys and I don't think Davis is ready to start yet. This is the area of our d that worries me.
We have a great D line (DD and CC are in my opinion the best ends for a 3-4 D in the league), and any secondary with 3 pro bowlers is in good shape. Can anyone give me some insight on our LB'ing situation or at least something positive with walker and Cyril that I can focus on?
Wait!! i have the solution. play with 3 LB, and 3 Safeties and let A Dub roam in the box.

A dub is...
The only linebacking safety in the NFL
More concerned than worried
Whiz must see something we don’t, but the fact that the Cards let Cody Brown, Pago, and Monty Beisel go must mean that the coaching staff is liking what they see with who they’ve got.
I still think we need another vet with run-stopping ability, but like I said in the title, I’m concerned, but I think everything will be fine.

It sounds like you're more concerned with the OLB's than the ILB's
which I get, because as you noted after Porter and Haggans it gets a little thin. I can’t comment at all on Cyril as I can’t recall having ever seen him play. However, I will say that Cody Brown must not have shown anything at all for us to waive him and go that route. Another guess is they feel pretty good about Davis to have him as the primary back-up right now
Walker plays inside, and I think we’re looking pretty solid there with Lenon and Washington as the starters, with Hayes on his way back.
I think we’ll all feel better not seeing Porter or Haggans on the injured list but it’s not like the Whiz and Davis haven’t thought about any of this. One last guess is that we’ll have some very unpredictable packages planned for the real season.
I hope!
I was really high on him when the Cards first got him. I remember seeing him in some preseason games last year and gloating in the gem they found. But in the little bit of preseason action I was able to see this time around, I saw a Will Davis that looked lost and missed tackles. I hope I only saw a bad couple of plays, not consistently bad play. If he hasn’t been doing well, he probably would’ve been cut by now, so, like I said, I hope he is going to be a stud!

AGREED
he showed flashes when he was playing the end of last year…now he has #55 whom is the best edge rusher of the last decade hands down….Showing him everything he needs to know….heck maybe even will davis will get jawing sooner than later as well…I’m thinking the other reason Brown was dumped is because have another late round gem in Schofield
As a Viking fan I get your pains . We use most of our backup spots for special team Aces .
Our 5th rder is panning out with added playing time . You are right to be concerned . Rotation is the new way of life in the NFL . There are some good LB’s in the 2011 draft . Oklamoma and NC in your spot if I recall . Potential probowlers .
