RotB 2010 Playoff Pick'em: Pro-Bowl Edition
Editor Bump: not to detract you from your Photoshop activities but seven participants are going to be knocked out if they don't wager a guess at the Pro Bowl results. Try darts. Take the average scores of all the Pro Bowls. Roll a die to generate a score.
It's an old-school Super Bowl match-up as the Steelers, in operation since 1933, go for their seventh Super Bowl crown against the Green Bay Packers, a member of the NFL since 1921 and appearing in their fifth Super Bowl. Both teams dominated their respective Conference Championship Games for the first half before their opponents made it interesting in the second half. robloosli's 21-13 prediction for Green Bay was the closest and earned him 49 Pick'em Points. CardsIrish and Peter Jacob Hornig both had the Steelers winning 24-21 which was two off the final score and earned them 48 Pick'em Points each. The standings see the reigning leader through two weeks fall off the "medal stand" but with two games left in the 2010 post-season, opportunities can still be had to win it all.
Playoff Pick'em's next game on the schedule is the 2010 Pro-Bowl which is back in Hawaii. This game is truly a "wild card" game as the score can really be about anywhere for either conference. The AFC won last year, 41-34, with a rosters chock full of "Pro Bowl alternates". This year is shaping up to be the same as already Darnell Dockett and Larry Fitzgerald have joined Adrian Wilson on the NFC roster. It may be the last chance to see these guys playing for a long time...

Last year I used the average scores of the last five PB scores...
This time, I’ll play it safe: AFC 35-31
Don't waste time or Time will waste you.
AFC: 38-35

Close eyes, throw two darts at a dartboard, add 20 for final scores.
NFC (red dart) 34 – AFC (green dart) 31

You mixed up my picks from yesterday
I picked NYJ 24, PIT 23 (14 points) and GB 21 Chi 13 (49 points-only 1 point away from a perfect game).
For the Pro Bowl, I’ll go NFC 35, AFC 34.
We all bleed Cardinal Red, but most of us don't recognize it!

Umm why did I get the points I did? I picked the opposite of how of you have me down as picking. I think you made a mistake. If not could you please tell me how the points are calculated again. Thanks.
Problem with reading scores in the order of games played
…and not looking at the actually teams you tied to the scores. You and robloosli both did that. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
Your scores will be corrected.
Don't waste time or Time will waste you.
Probowl
Other than Wilson, Dockett and Fitz (who I saw listed here as participants)—I don’t even who else is playing….
NFC—27—24
No more night. I have seen the light. Let it shine on bright.

AFC 38 - NFC 34
I don’t understand this playoff pick’em scoring but thanks Hawkwind for setting this up and running it all year. Much appreciated!
Take you score, multiply by the length of your index finger, take the square root, and divide by the # of Cardinals head coaches all-time...
…and you may have a number similar to your score.
If you pick the right winner, you get 50 points minus the difference in your predicted score vs. the actual. Perfect match scores 60 total.
If you pick the wrong winner, you get 20 points minus the difference in your predicted score vs. the actual.
Don't waste time or Time will waste you.
This will be the format for RotB UFL Pick'em too
If there’s no NFL season that is. With only a few UFL games a week, we’ll rank things by average Pick’em Points.
Don't waste time or Time will waste you.
I like it, use last year's score. I almost did that myself.
Don't waste time or Time will waste you.
This is kind of like Final Jeopardy
Find a nice “middle ground” and hedge your bet so you don’t lose too many points if you’re wrong.
Don't waste time or Time will waste you.
Thats true
I noticed that most everone has picked scores that are 30 to 40 points for each team.
Dockett to forget it's the pro-bowl and blow up Brady and recover the fumble for a TD
AFC still win though 45-35
Pro Bowl
AFC 41 – NFC 38
