Looking at next years possible depth chart
Okay okay this is a wild guess but hell Im going to do it now I can't decide between some guys so there will be a * next to them telling of possible replacements or changes.
Depth Chart 1:
Specialists
LS: Mike Leach
K: Jay Feely
P: Ben Graham* *Rookie (He is at the end of his contract and I don't know if the cards will renew it)
PR: Ansdre Roberts
Offense:
QB: John Skelton, Richard Bartel*, (drafted rookie/FA) *(Hall I can't see returning Bartel maybe replaced by a vet)
RB: Tim Hightower, Beanie Wells, LaRod Stephens-Howling, (Alfonso Smith/rookie) *(Wright probably will retire)
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Breaston, Andre Roberts, Stephen WIlliams, Max Komar, (Rookie)
TE: Jim Dray, Stephen Spach, (Rookie)
FB: Nehemiah Broughton* (Reagan can come back)
C: Lyle Sendiline, Ben Claxton, Rex Hadnot
G: Rex Hadnot, Douce Lutui, (Rookie/FA)
T: Levi Brown, Bridges Jeremy, Brandon Keith
Defense:
CB: Michael Adams, Greg Toler, Dominique Rogers-Cromartie, Marshay Green, A.J Jefferson, (Rookie)
LB: Daryl Washington, O'Brien Shcofield, Clark Haggans, Joey Porter*, Reggie Walker, Will Davis, Paris Lennon, Cyril Obizior, (rookie/FA) X2 (Joey can be too expensive, but we can get a guy in the draft or a rookie FA)
DE: Darnell Dockett, Calais Campbell, Alan Branch, Dan WIlliams, (Rookie) X2 (Robinson said this is his last season)
S: Adrian Wilson, Kerry Rhodes, Rashad Johnson, Matt Ware, (Rookie/FA)X2
Now bout that draft I can see us vertially taking anyone in the first round, most likely a QB because of our need, second round should be a CB or LB and 3rd should be OL, 4th DE, 5th WR, 6th OL/TE, 7th TE/OL
I see us taking either of these guys for a punter Chas Henry or even Trevor Hankins as Rookie FA....

Did you put the names in order of depth?
Mike Adams had a strong year compared to ‘09 and he’s a hell of a competitor but I don’t believe he would jump up to the #1 CB.
Nope
no its not Its just the way I thought of it

I agree with some
Some thoughts:
I think a big chance of John Skelton remaining starter was wiped out after last week’s game. The Coaches/FO know that they need someone else to jump-start the Offense, or next season will become this season 2.0.
The WR’s look pretty solid. I think Doucet’s injuries will discourage the team from retaining him. I also think that we’ll keep Steve Breaston, as he’s been too much of a steal to lose;
I have to ask the same question as Hadraius. Did you put the names in order of depth? Because if you did, I don’t agree with some of the starters (DRC may have had a down-year, but there’s no way he falls to the #3 CB).
You think Lutui AND Sendlein are getting re-signed? They’re average. Nothing more, nothing less, but may want to be paid more than they are worth (like Rolle, Dockett, or Boldin). I can see one of them coming back, but probably not both – if there’s no new CBA, we’re going to have to factor in a new monster deal for a rookie, as well as Fitzgerald’s deal next year.
The O-line needs a major overhaul; we need some brawlers damnit. I want some young blood or a good vet or two to revitalize the O-line.
Agreed, we can bring in a great QB (not that we have any good options here in the offseason) but that won’t matter if we can’t protect him.
My priorities would be:
QB
O-Line
Cornerback
Late in the summer.
When Joey Porter signs a deal to hawk geritol and gets all the freebies he wants.
Nnamndi and Champ will both be FAs this summer.
Should they be worth a look vs drafting a CB in the first three rounds?
If you don't have anything good to say about the Cards this season, you'd be correct.
