NFL TV Schedule, Week 6: With Cardinals Bye, 49ers/Lions Is Big Draw

The Arizona Cardinals are not playing on Sunday because they are on their bye, and it probably is a good thing. They have lost four straight games and have looked worse and worse in each contest. However, the football world goes on and we still want to watch the NFL on Sunday. There are some solid matchups, starting with the Detroit Lions and the San Francisco 49ers, which people in Arizona will be fortunate to watch. They will be likely all rooting for Detroit so that the NFC West does not become even more difficult to mount and improbable comeback for the Cards.

So what can we watch on the tube? Complete listings are after the jump.

Here is the compete list of games and where they will be shown:

In the Phoenix area, this is what we will watch and what broadcast team we will get.

Early games:

On FOX is the Detroit Lions hosting the San Francisco 49ers. The broadcast team for FOX will be Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston and Tony Siragusa. That is the FOX 'A-team'. Any guesses on the number of player names that Moose Johnston mispronounces?

On CBS is the game between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Giants. That game will have Jim Nantz and Phil Simms. No doubt Simms will bring up the Super Bowl his team (the Giants) won (or rather Scott Norwood lost) over the Bills long ago.

Late Game:

This is a FOX game -- The Dallas Cowboys facing the New England Patriots in Foxborough. Thom Brennaman and Troy Aikman have that game. I think FOX tries to make sure that Aikman is at every Cowboys game so that the broadcast has the necessary and appropriate Cowboys bias.

Naturally, if you have NFL Sunday Ticket, the full gamut of NFL games is available to you. If you want to know the broadcast teams, check out the506.com
