As most of you know the Raiders sent TWO first round picks to the Cincinnati Bengals for the 31 year old Carson Palmer. Considering we gave up "To Much For Kevin Kolb". Most of these people have even "quit" being Cardinals fans. Now do you still think we gave up to much for him? Kolb has had good games but has choked in the end... okay 3 good games. Kolb still has plenty of season to go. He should be much more comfortable with the playbook and he seems to be understanding the concepts our Offense is trying to do. He's been aided by the break out of Beanie Wells, 3 very abled TE's in Housler, Heap, and King, and our special teams. I believe our worst starting field position off of punt/kick returns has been the 10 yard line with Peterson letting it go.
It seems the only thing that has been a major problem with him is his leaving this pocket to early. I can understand why everyone thinks this is bad, but there is a positive to it. He won't get blasted from his blindside. Levi has done well with penalties as of late but it's kind of hard not to get called for Holding when you let the defender sprint right past you. One other thing he needs to work on his is ability to hold onto the ball. He didn't have this fumble in Philly so right now he needs to get back to his Philly self.
So to conclude... Kolb has some extreme potential and those of you who don't see it need to look at the game film. A few Picks haven't been his fault. One or two were tips that the O-Linemen could have helped avoid. Kolb has the weapons he just needs to use them now.
