Towards the end of the third quarter the Cardinals had the ball and would have obviously drove down the field and scored to make it a one score ball game going into the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, Kolb completely screwed up and committed an intentional grounding penalty in the end zone resulting in a safety and putting the Steelers up 26-14. I had to go back and look at my dvr to see how Woodley got into the backfield so quickly. What I saw was telling...many of you may have noticed this also.
Despite the Steelers sending only four rushers our O-line decided that it would be best to only block three of them and leave Woodley unblocked to the quarterback. Brandon Keith makes a horrible judgement call in taking the guy to his left rather than blocking Woodley.
Bad coaching? Unfortunate circumstance? I'm sure I could find many more examples but this one stood out. Russ Grimm may be a hall of famer but it doesn't mean that he can coach worth a damn.
