Practice on Wednesday resumed for the Arizona Cardinals players and there were a few surprises on the injury report because they were players that, according to my memory, never had any issues during the game on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
While Beanie Wells said he is planning on playing on Sunday, he did not practice at all Wednesday. Kerry Rhodes, Joey Porter, Early Doucet and DeMarco Sampson also did not practice. Porter has been getting it seems a day off practice at least once a week. Rhodes is a given, since he recently had surgery on his broken foot. Doucet and Sampson were surprises, sort of. Doucet has been healthy this year. Sampson has been on the injury report a lot, but I think it is the first time he was out.
Those that were limited in practice were Todd Heap, Jim Dray and Mike Adams. Paris Lenon was not listed, so any apparent injury he might have had during the game was not serious at all and the decision to play Stewart Bradley more seems to have been more connected to performance than health.
As for Beanie, unless things improve quickly, don't expect to see him ready for the Ravens.
Kent Somers seems to believe that, while Heap was only limited today, that he will likely not play this Sunday.
Obviously, we will know more as the week progresses.
