Skelton looked good out there tonight. Alot more comfortable with the offense then Kolb and kept his cool in the pocket even when he was getting blitzed. They way he played tonight, i see him in competition for the starting spot, not the backup spot. He threw 20/35 for 222yds and 1td, with no interceptions. He read the defense well and made the passes that the defense gave him. He didnt force the ball very often, showed good footwork, good mechanics, good zip on his passes but also good touch when he needed it, he has a good feel for pressure and made several huge runs for gains rather then kolbs for a loss.
Its clear cut to me that skelton right now is the better QB for this team. He provides us with the best chance to win games and already has chemistry with recievers and knows the offense. I dont care how much we invested in kolb. That shouldnt be the determining factor when deciding what QB we should play. Dont let one problem compile into several others by keeping kolb in based on what we invested rather then how well he plays. Admit kolb isnt as ready as andy ried said he was, let the QBs compete for their jobs based on performance, and lets keep this rolling!
