Arizona Cardinals/Cleveland Browns Inactive List: A Tale Of Two Concussed QBs

Good afternoon and welcome to another Arizona Cardinals football match up. Today the Cards host the Cleveland Browns at UOP stadium. Last week Kevin Kolb and Colt McCoy both took a nasty shot to the head and suffered concussion-like symptoms. Kolb was able to practice partially for the week, and is listed as questionable.

Hit the jump to see how the inactive list panned out for today's game.

Star-divide

For the Cards:

  • QB Kevin Kolb - Insane in the brain
  • OLB Joey Porter - It's the knee still
  • SS Sean Considine - Foot
  • WR DeMarco Sampson - Ribs
  • WR Stephen Williams - Numbers game
  • WR Jaymar Johnson - Numbers game
  • OT D'Anothony Batiste - Numbers game
Kevin Kolb - The man has spent a fair amount of time on this list. Sure, injuries happen. Here. With the Philadelphia Eagles. Just talking out loud. Anyway, he's concussed. He's not starting. It was news a few weeks back. John Skelton will be working with four wide receivers, Chansi Stuckey joining the top three of Larry Fitzgerald, Early Doucet, and Andre Roberts. To help the young QB out, the Cards have activated all four TE on the roster. Joey Porter once again sits, and I'm asking the question now. Has Joey Porter played his last game as a Cardinal? On a positive note, FS Kerry Rhodes makes a return from the inactive list, finally putting a broken foot behind him. The organization is already on record for saying he will see a minimal amount of snaps in today's game, so expect a healthy dose of Rashad Johnson and Richard Marshall.

For the Browns
  • QB Colt McCoy
  • FB Owen Marecic
  • C Steve Vallos
  • DE Kiante Tripp
  • CB James Dockery
  • SS T. J. Ward
  • OT Oniel Cousins
Colt McCoy will miss the game for the Browns, still feeling the effects of James Harrison's hit on him last week. Seneca Wallace gets the start, and has shown flashes. The Cards' defense will need to pressure him, and keep him edge contained. The Browns run game will also be limited with the loss of FB Owen Marecic.

It's just over an hour until kickoff, and from there, I'll catch you on the flip side. Go Cards!
