I did not believe in this defense up to a few weeks ago and was very vocal about my displeasure for it. The same went for Kolb. I am a lifelong Phoenician and have been a Cardinal fan for the majority of my life so I cant shake the negative vibes that were reinforced time and time again when it came to our loveable losers. I can honestly say that I was dead wrong and I finally believe this team is headed in the right direction for good. I was in the camp that it was all Warner for the 2 good seasons we had here and abslolutley HATED Whisenhunt. It has all changed (mabye beating the Cowboys has something to do with it, they are my most hated team). This defense is legit and is only going to get better. I read somewhere that it is the youngest D in the league and there are playmakers throughout, I do not believe we need to address the OLB spot early in the draft next year. SchoCho looks like the real deal and there are playmakers throughout the entire D. As for Kolb, I hate the thought of giving him a free pass this year to learn the system when so many other QBs are doing well in their first yr of a new system. Newton, Smith, Ponder, Dalton all have done very well so far this year. But it is a complex system so I understand that argument, I just want to see Kolb progress as the season wears on and not regress as he did before he got hurt. Who knows, mabye the injury will turn out to be the best thing to have happened so he could take a step back and focus on studying the playbook. If he can build on the 2nd half of Sundays game that would be fantastic. So there you have it ROTB nation, I was absolutely wrong about the D and hope I was as well on Kolb. There is one thing I do know for a fact. This team needs to put all resources into improving the O line. This team will be dangerous next year if that happens.
