I just returned from a trip to CA with my family and thought I'd share this. During a few days at the Disney parks, I noticed a good amount of Cardinals colors among the people in the parks. Hats, shirts, sweatshirts, backpacks, jerseys, jackets were all in the park. I don't want to give the wrong impression. It wasn't a 'Red Sea' or anything like that. But it was a nice change because in the past, when we've visited CA (to include Disney, Universal, etc, I've probably been the only one wearing a Cards hat or shirt, and maybe I'd see one or two people the whole trip with Cards colors on....To be fair, it was AZ spring break, and one of the workers did say to me "half of the park seems to be from Arizona." But it was still nice to see our Cardinals colors on display out there. By far, NFL team colors were the number 1 sports league being worn out there. I'd have to say College teams were 2nd, followed by MLB, NBA, and then NHL. Finally, this is my first post so cut me some slack....
So you here go. My informal and unofficial ranking of sports colors in the Disney parks:
1st place: CARDINALS
The other leagues:
1st place: This was a close one. I have to give the edge to the Dodgers, only because they seem to have the "LA" on every possible colored hat (pink, orange, yellow, green, purple, black) out there. Take that away, and it would've been the DBACKS.
2nd place: DBACKS
Others noted: Blue Jays, Cardinals, Giants, Padres, Cubs, Yankees
1st place: Not a lot of NBA colors being worn which was surprising given its NBA season. Have to give it to the Lakers, although I didn't see a lot of their colors
2nd place - SUNS (disappointing - the ony jerseys I saw were Nash and old Barkley jerseys)
Others noted: Nuggets, Pistons, Heat
NHL: Not a lot to see here. A Calgary t-shirt and a couple of COYOTES hats was all I saw.
1st place: tie - USC and ASU (lots of Sun Devil fans at the park)
2nd place: U of A, UCLA, BYU
Others noted: Texas, NAU, Oregon, Utah
