More from Michael Bidwill
As for the contract of Larry Fitzgerald, "He’s been very clear that he wants to be a Cardinal for life. We’ve been very clear that we want to take the necessary steps to make sure that happens. We’ll get it done. I’m confident of that."

File this under...
a no-brainer.
Like the Cardinals? Revenge of the Birds is where to go.
Like Arizona Sports in general? SB Nation Arizona is where you'll get it all.

I don't think it is a no-brainer
Both parties wanting to get it done yeah, but you never head anything like “We’ll get it done. I’m confident of that.” From anyone regarding any of our past FA’s or contract disputes.
It might seem like a no-brainer to really go after a guy, but the confidence that Bidwill portrays here is the interesting part to me.
He knows what the odds are of getting Larry to re-sign
And he knows he has to get a QB and other players to keep him happy. He better be confident or the fans will be extremely disappointed and ticket sales would inevitably drop is Larry left with no superstar replacement coming in.

This cOntract has more to do with Cards doing something drastic at QB
To prove to Fitz they are committed to winning. I’d say Kolb is a focal point in this contract issue. If cards make a big play for him and land him, Fitz signs within a week. If it’s a draft pick like Gabbert with a vet like Bulger it’s going to be a wait and see…
