Big Ben to the Cardinals?
No, this is not a rumour, it's a game
A Danish NFL-website has covered the draft since 2004 and now they're making a mock draft for this year's draft - with all the present needs but with the players from the first round of the past seven drafts. They're not looking at their potential from back when they were drafted but at how good they are now.
This is the mock draft so far:
Bengals: Larry Fitzgerald (not bad!)
Link: Draftday.dk mock draft 2004-2010
My oppinion: Major upgrade, sure, but it might take a ring to forget February 2009
They didn't mention any alternatives, but who comes to my mind are players like Matt Ryan, DeMarcus Ware, Darrelle Revis, Joe Thomas, Patrick Willis or perhaps even Chris Johnson or Adrian Peterson
Who would you have picked?
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Revenge of the Birds' (ROTB) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of ROTB's editors.

I voted yes
Because he’s a good QB, but we could’ve taken Tom Brady, or Peyton Manning, or Matt Ryan, or anyone. They’re all good.
Not Brady or Manning
They have to be drafted in the first round in 2004-2010
We are red, we are white, we are Danish Dynamite!
He's better than what we got now but not a major upgrade.
Outside of one drive in his career (that one hurt…) he hasn’t really done anything. He’s not gonna lead the league in touchdowns or yards. Plus that Pitt team did just as good without him at the helm last year. To me he’s just a product of everyone else around me is great and is making me look a lot better than I actually am.
To me, I’d rather have Matt Ryan or Sam Bradford leading my team.
Not a major up[grade...
Nevermind his 2 SB rings!! LOL You might discount them, but I sincerely doubt that Whiz would do so…
You've been Stroh'd™!!!
No, he is not flashy...
But there are hardly any other QBs I would pick to lead in a crucial drive.
Like the Cardinals? Revenge of the Birds is where to go.
Like Arizona Sports in general? SB Nation Arizona is where you'll get it all.
Are you kidding?
He’s got more rings than Manning, he’s had several clutch drives in his career, and who cares if he is not going to lead the league in passing, I’d say two rings > multiple NFL MVP awards. Not to mention the man knows how to play behind a sieve of an offensive line.
Peyton Manning is possibly a Top 3 QB of all time
Maybe even Top 2. I think it’s safe to say that I’d take him over anyone in the league.
Getting an MVP award means you have to be truly fantastic by yourself. Winning Superbowls is a team effort.
No, I'm not kidding.
You’re giving him a lot more credit for those rings than you should. If it wasn’t for that defense, he wouldn’t have any rings.
Defense huh?
How about when he punked our defense? I’d say when we lost to the Steelers it was mainly Roethlisberger with some sprinkles of Santonio Holmes
He's definitely got the 'clutch' factor going for him
But imagine it without the great D, would it still be enough to keep them as super bowl contenders? I personally don’t think so.

Well
it’s all Ben when they win in the clutch
Dont forget
He plays in the AFC north, not the AFC south or east…Is there a conference with better defenses? I think not…that includes the Schizophrenic Cincy
No way
Manning has proven to not be so rock solid come post season time. That’s when it counts…I’d put Warner ahead of Manning
Kurt Warner definitely is one of the greatest
But Peyton Manning is a dead-lock for Top 5 QB’s (At least after the creation of the Superbowl).
I’d take either him or Matt Ryan.
Ryan
is another guy who makes everyone around him better.
