Pat Tillman
November 6, 1976-April 22, 2004. Rest in peace, Pat. Your country thanks you.
I wish the truth of your service was known, but regardless, you were a true patriot. A man of principles and ideals.
Screw those that have tried to minimize his contribution.
Not enough words, but I feel like Fan Shots get lost, so here's me trying to get my word count up to 75 words. Almost there, almost, getting closer, and there we go.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Revenge of the Birds' (ROTB) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of ROTB's editors.

Tillman was one of a kind
Like the Cardinals? Revenge of the Birds is where to go.
Like Arizona Sports in general? SB Nation Arizona is where you'll get it all.
One of my few heroes....
and not just because of him being a cardinal, but because of his selflessness and sacrifice for the rest of us.
Sorry folks, park's closed. Moose out front shoulda told ya.
I'm wearing his jersey today.
Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Phoenix Suns/Chicago Bears fan [I have always lived in Arizona, dad is from Chicago].
In this day and age of selfish, egotistical athletes Tillman was a man among boys
A true hero that shows all of us what makes America so great and makes me so proud to call it my home.

To this day I have no idea what that woman was singing about. Like, literally no idea. I don’t know what a hollaback girl is. But I have to imagine it is a foul, disease ridden thing that wears too much make-up just to cover up the fact that it is a forty-seven year-old fish dog. – Family guy

One of my all time favorite people, and a true hero
I loved Pat from his days at ASU, when everyone said he was too small and too slow to play D1 football. And then the Cardinals drafterd him after everyone said he was too small and too slow to be successful in the NFL. And then he gave it all up to serve his country.
I still remember where I was and who I was with when they announced he was killed. I don’t think we’ll ever know what actually happened that day, but I know I’ll never forget the great Pat Tillman and the sacrifices he made to serve the country he loved so much.
We all bleed Cardinal Red, but most of us don't recognize it!

I figure if you're looking through comments then your a Tillman fan
Do yourself a favor and read “Where Men Win Glory: The Odyssey of Pat Tillman” by Jon Krakauer. Same guy who wrote Into the Wild. Does a great job of getting everybody’s story and morphing it in to a detail packed synopsis of his life and death.
My favorite gift of all time is a painting of Tillman in his SI pose, helmet in hand, hair flying in the wind. Same pose the statue outside UoP stadium. So proud he was a Sun Devil and Cardinal. We Arizonans were treated to a true role model
Please don't kill the messenger
I was talking to a Viet Nam vet the other day that feel strongly that Pat was assassinated
His story is that Pat was about to return from Afghanistan and use his celebrity to expose the US involvement in the heroin trade
… he knew allot about it and he made a compelling argument … kinda scary to say the least
