Day 2 Hopes

With the 1st Round of the 2011 Draft officially in the books, what do you guys want to see on Day 2?

I think we're in a very good position at 2-5 to pick up a player we will be very happy with.  Quarterback is an obvious option, with Dalton and Mallett sitting there (depending on your preference).  I've heard we've shown interest in Mallett, but as I've said all along, I'll take anybody at this point.  We've got the tight end, Kyle Rudolph, still on the board, alongside a pass rusher I didn't expect -- Brooks Reed.  Akeem Ayers will be worth considering and another option at OLB may be Jabaal Sheard.  For offensive line we're down to Ijalana (G) it looks to me.  Martez Wilson, the top-rated ILB in the draft, could also be there.  I dunno about you guys, but I'd be thrilled with any of them.

I'm not sure what to expect from the 3rd round.  I haven't done my homework quite as much, but there's another tight end that interests me -- Rob Housler from FAU.  Athletic, produced on the field as a receiving option, and has the frame to block effectively in the NFL.  I'd be very interested in Greg Salas or Austin Pettis (WR's) if available here, but I think we would do better to look away from wide receiver at this point.  The OLB that could be sitting there, for my money, is Chris Carter -- strong pass-rusher, great athlete, will need to develop in run-support and coverage.

Overall I'm pretty excited about the guys who will be there with our second-round pick.  I actually kind of hope we acquire another one, so we can grab a QB and another guy.  I'm not sure when we're going to look at the offensive line, but I do believe we need help there.
