During the draft, I was watching the position ratings on both Yahoo! Sports and NFL.com and I saw that everyone was overlooking an OT by the name of Lee Ziemba from Auburn. I was pathetically begging the Cards to take him with one of their two 6th rounders. He barely escaped 'undrafted free-agent' status when he was picked up in the 7th round.
On Yahoo! Sports he was ranked as the 11th best tackle available. Eight tackles ranked lower than he was were chosen before him. In fact, the guy that was ranked just above him (again, according to Yahoo!) was Ben Ijalana, whom the Colts selected in the 2nd round.
On NFL.com, he was given a 6.0/10 rating. 23 O-lineman that ranked lower than he was were chosen before him. He was chosen with the 41st pick in the 7th round (#244) by Carolina. Only one guy, Bill Nagy from Wisconsin, was an O-lineman chosen after him at #252.
My question is: Why the slide? I watch NFL.com's video of the guy. He's obviously not fast, but he looked like a beast. Maybe durability issues? Did anyone else see this guy and want the Cards to take him? Does anyone know anything about him?
