I ask a simple question:
Who do you think the Cardinals SHOULD have as the 2011-2012 starting QB and why?
I'm tired of hearing all of the hype around Kolb, Bulger, Palmer, and Hasslebeck. Here are my thoughts on them:
Kolb: Everybody knows he is Andy Reid's protégé and what not, but for some reason I just don't buy into his mediocre stats and his average arm. To me there is nothing that screams FRANCHISE QB when it comes to him. If we had a run game then this would be a totally different argument, but we don't so its not. I think he is going to be an AVG. QB and wont win us more then 8 games. I don't even want to mention what it is going to cost us just to get him, he isn't worth it to me. (This is just my opinion i want to hear yours.)
-On another note: " (Kolb trade) would make the Cardinals an instant contender in the NFC West, and it would make them the team that they were a couple of years ago when Kurt Warner was playing quarterback, rather than last year when they had the quarterback carousel."
I highly disagree with this quote said by ESPN's Adam Schefter. 1 word: HYPE!
Bulger: Can another Ram become an AZ superstar? I wish, but I don't see it happening. Lets face it, Bulger hasn't had a decent year since 06. I think he could fill in for us, but he isn't going to be anything close to Kurt. Our o-line is nothing special right now (might improve over FA period) but Bulger cant take hits, he is fragile and an injury waiting to happen.
Palmer: he isn't going anywhere. Sure as hell not to the Cardinals. He is due 11.7 (?) million dollars next year, when was the last time we traded for somebody worth that kinda money?
Hasselbeck: Hassy, as I like to call him, is okay. I can see him holding it down for us for a season or two. He is long in the tooth and a bit fragile but could be an effective place holder for Skelton? Yeah, I said it.
Skelton: What do we do with you, are you worth putting on hold and turning the franchise over to you in a year? I'm not sure what way we are headed but I don't like any of our options right now.
Who do you think is our best option? why?
