A Friendly Reminder Of Community Decorum

Hello ROTB people!

I just wanted to take a moment of your time to remind your of some of the community expectations, regarding specifically with comments, not because it has been a consistent problem, but because I don't want it to be.

There are basically two things I wish to be clear. I don't have a huge issue with language in general, but outside of damn or hell, if you feel you must use profanities, do a simple edit -- sh*t, f**k or the like. It gets your point across and keeps it more presentable for passers-by. Game threads are pretty much no holds barred, though.

The one thing that is the most important piece of our community behavior is dealing with how we respond to other members. Attacks directed to individuals are off-limits. Don't call people names, don't say people are stupid or idiots or anything. If you think that a comment or idea is stupid, attack the comment or idea. Do not insult the people.

The attacks are what I care about most. No one should feel belittled personally. That will get you warned and eventually banned.

I may use a 'warn' as a communication tool even if there is something not "bad". I will note as such.

If you come across comments you feel are inappropriate, flag them. We look them over.

Lastly, if you have any beef or problem with me or anyone on the writing team, I ask that you be mature about it. Email me. I am a reasonable man and will address all concerns and hear you out. Griping through comments is not what mature people do.

That's all I ask. Thanks for hearing me out. GO CARDS!
