Hello Fellow Cardinals fans,
My screen name is Guru03. I will be telling you how hard it is to be a diehard and displaced Cardinals fan. I have been a displaced and diehard Cardinals fan for over 2 years.
I live over 2,500 miles away from Arizona and have never lived in or visited Arizona. When I first heard of the Cardinals, it was love at first sight for me. I knew this was to be my favorite team and this was to be my destiny. I don't have NFL sunday ticket because I can't afford it, and I can't watch games on the internet because of our 5 GB internet plan. So I have to just look up the score from the Cardinals game on the internet (frowny face). In fact in 2010, I was never able to watch a single Cardinals game last year (so frustrating). I can't even get the Cardinals games on the radio. I also get a lot of heat for liking the Cardinals. I am a honest hardworking american does not have the extra money to afford the luxuries. I have memorized most of the Cardinals roster and I play as the Cardinals in Madden and has done Cardinals franchises in Madden and has been sucessful with them.
Like last year when my one of my ex- bosses at work said when he went to a sports store in Tennessee, he found a Browns pennant for a coworrker in our department who was a diehard Browns fan but when I asked about were there any Cardinals accessories in the store he said "The store said they had to burn the Cardinals stuff because nobody wanted it". He also said "The Browns may be losers, but nobody likes the Cardinals". Then at the end of the year he said he was a closet Cardinals fan but he said he couldn't reveal it and he signed my notepad "Go Cardinals! Boo Browns". That really touched me. Also, the other coworkers at work hate the Cardinals, and there is no other Cardinals fan besides me, which is so frustrating. It is the "Unfashionable" or the "uncool" thing to be a Cardinals fan. I have a Cardinals T shirt, which is all I can afford in Cardinals gear.
I joined Revenge of the Birds to keep up with team happenings and for support from other Cards fans along with voicing my opinions on what the Cards should and shouldn't do.
