Cards reach deal with Center Lyle Sendlein
After losing Breaston and DRC, some good news.
Per Adam Schefter: For my ESPN radio friends in Chicago: Cardinals reached agreement with their starting center Lyle Sendlein on a multi-year deal.
Also reported that the Cardinals have reached a deal with Steelers DE Nick Eason, and Joey Porter renegotiated his contract to stay with the team.

THis is good news
Sendlein is a good Center and is a rock in the middle. Now we just need to upgrade our LT…
We all bleed Cardinal Red, but most of us don't recognize it!

Best Signing Today...... Just Kidding
Okay so just a joke I like Klob and im excited about him this year. When you get a guy like Sendlein a undrafted rookie, to starter, to capt. He deserves this and I hope he got his money because he has been maybe not the best center ever (which hopefully he reads that all the time and it makes him better) but hasnt missed a game in three years and lets be honest a line that stays together for a long time is better than a line made up of 5 really good players playing their first season together. The more people we can keep that buys into how wiz coaches will only make this team stronger. I hope letui signs too…. of corse i would perfer he signs under 400 lbs.
Good news on both fronts.
Figured Sendlein was a slam dunk. Porter taking a pay cut I had doubts about.
Awesome
Glad they got Sendlein. I didn’t think this deal was in much doubt, so it would have been a hugely negative surprise to see Sendlein walk to a team like the Bears or 49ers.
I thought Mike Sando had an excellent take on the Cards’ transactions so far: Kolb, Sendlein deals give Cards push.
Losing Breaston and DRC hurts some (depends on which DRC we lost – the 2009 or 2010 version), but so far the Cardinals have addressed QB and OL in positive ways. I think there is a need to find a veteran CB, but the hole at WR may or may not need to be addressed depending how Whisenhunt plans to change the offense this year.
We will see. Either way very excited for the season!
Lyle Sendlein is one of my favorites on the Cards -- glad to hear he's coming back. He's very underrated IMO.
Porter’s contract needed to be redone glad he worked with the FO on getting it done. Sounds like Money Mike is coming back — I still would like to see someone like Rogers sign on. More work to be done but glad with the progress thus far. Go Cards!

I've been waiting to hear something on Rogers
but nothing yet. Maybe he’s a guy that’s gotta wait till the dust settles. He has talent though
Bet big, win big...Welcome to Arizona Kevin Kolb!!!

Agreed
they are making some moves, and that makes me feel better.
MIke Adams
Money Mike tweeted “@meezybaby27: Flight to Phx tonight. With a smile on my face.” He may not be the biggest guy out there, but I love the way he hits. If DRC had learned to tackle like Adams, he’d never been traded.
Maybe Adams
becomes our surprise of the year, Here’s to hoping Horton is our new Haley.

Has anyone seen what the length of Sendlein's deal is?

Wow!
Do any of you guys watch the line play at all? Sendlien gets his ass routinely kicked up n down the field by the most average defensive tackles and nose guards because he can’t knock anyone off the line of scrimmage. Now the cardinals are bringing in Colledge, another guy who isn’t physical, but at least he can pass protect. Add Hadnot to the fold, and now it’s complete. The NFL’S softest middle of an offensive line! These guys are facing dt’s and noseguards who are going 320 plus every single week and they simply dont match up vs. the really aggressive fronts in this league. At least lutui could slug it out with some of the guys because he was as big n strong as the guys he was facing! Guys it wont take long before teams figure out that the cardinals cant run the ball consistantly inside the tackles. I could have lived with this signing if they would have resigned lutui and brought in someone like a blalock, or joseph to help sendlien but they didn’t and now this offensive line as a unit is the worst in the NFL! It’s a shame because the cardinals haven’t had a stable of backs this good in decades!
