FO is doing a decent job of filling the holes
There’s not too many holes left to fill.
QB – set
RB – set unless TH is lost
WR – set except for a splashy deep threat maybe?
OT – could use an upgrade but they have guys
OG – could use one upgrade but they have guys
C – set
TE – mostly set, maybe a Heap upgrade?
DT – need another rotation guy, maybe Watson and one other
DE – set if they resign Iwebema
OLB – could use an upgrade but they have guys
MLB – set
CB – set
S – could use a depth guy
I’m not sure if they have any cap left after Marshall signing for anything splashy.

The salary is pretty much slotted for 4 yrs, with 5th yr being club option. The hold up must be due to how much is guaranteed.
I'm thinking he will be around 18 mil with 6 guaranteed
That’s my very uneducated guess

P2 Should get all guaranteed similar to #4 A.J Green and #6 Julio Jones.
4. A.J. Green – WR, Cincinnati Bengals
Contract: Four years, $19.6 million, all guaranteed
5. Patrick Peterson – Arizona Cardinals
Contract: Unsigned
6. Julio Jones – WR, Atlanta Falcons
Contract: Four years, $16.2 million, all guaranteed
Solid post
So probably 18 mill range with full guarantee. I bet the FO is being the cheap ones here than…

FREE AGENCY!
TE Zach MILLER (bring him home!)
LB/DE Manny Lawson
CB Antonio Cromartie
LT Matt Light (1 or 2 year deal)
LB Kirk Morrison
and to make it crazy give Kolb another weapon: WR Terrell Owens!

Herman Johnson was waived by the Bears this morning...
I wonder if we roll the dice on him again. He’s a big boy.

If they go with Hadnot as a starter bringing in Johnson as a back up would be the kind of move they would make imo.

Just a guy, because I was born that way.
I believe he was claimed off waivers
Think we were putting him on the practice squad again. Not sure about this, though.
Claimed off waivers.
You are correct. He didn’t make it to the practice squad because he was signed elsewhere. Don’t remember if it was Chicago or if he bounced around some. Cardinals just signed another lineman making it less likely they would bother with Johnson again but still wouldn’t rule it out.

Short answer - No
Long answer is wait and see. I think there needs to be at least 5 year waiting period to retire a player. Kurt deserves to have his number retired but should probably be with the Rams. I think Jake Plummer’s #16 should be retired if Warner’s #13 is. Both took us to the playoffs for the first time in a decade – Plummer did it for the first time in 16 years. Had we won the SB I think #13 would be retired

Agreed
I hold #13 in a Cardinal uniform nearly sacred. I’m all about the waiting period, but people shouldn’t be wearing it. It’s like someone wearing Favre’s number in GB.
Section 103, Row 19
90 players.
Restrictions on what number you can wear based on position. Multiple players with the same number on is confusing and irritating. Especially when they are unknowns.
Put it away
Better chance of it getting put back into the equipment managers closet if an UFDA is wearing it.
