Former Arizona Cardinals Player Now To Host Local Radio Show
The local sports radio scene has been taking a hit recently. Local shows have been giving way to national ones. Even the Phoenix sports institution, the "Gambo and Ash" show is having the plugged pulled. As of the beginning of the week, the only local sports radio morning broadcast was the "Chuck and Vince Live" show on AM 1060.
Now, AM 1060 The Fan is adding another local show, and a former Arizona Cardinals player will be the host. Bertrand Berry, former Cardinals sack artist and host of "The Big Red Rage' show each week, will be hosting his own show on the station from 1-3 PM weekdays.
Choice is always a good thing when it comes to listening options. Having Berry pick up a new show is a win for pretty much everybody.
Berry gets to find work after his playing career. We get to hear a pretty good former NFL player talk about sports and we are not limited to Gambo, Burns, Doug, Wolf, Bickley or MJ on in the early afternoon.
Berry's show will air beginning August 29. You can count me in as a guy who will be tuning in during my lunch break.

Gumbo and A$$ are getting pulled?
That kinda sucks….its usually what I listen to during Bickley and MJ’s commercial breaks….
Though I do like FoxSports national hosts in the evening like Tony B, and especially Ben Mahler on the weekends.

I liked Bick and MJ for actual sports stuff...
G&A just joked around and insulted each other which was fine….. for a couple minutes.

It is kinda sad though, for how long they've been around.
A lot of the national stuff is just effin annoying too, like Colin “Ratface” Cowherd and Jim Rome, who only taks big until someone calls him on it, then he goes into a corner and cries.
