I know the big news out of the Green Bay game was the loss of Ryan Williams, but has anyone taken a closer look at how our passing defense performed?
There was some encouraging progress from the pass rush. Our starting D-line got some penetration early, and then Schofield finally showed up to play. But apart from that, we let the GB quarterbacks put on a show. Matt Flynn posted a PERFECT passer rating. All three of their QB's had passer ratings over 120! A-Rod had the lowest at 126, and he looked really solid. I know having Adrian Wilson out hurt us, and our secondary is pretty young and obviously everyone is getting used to the new system. However, I am legitimately concerned, and really woud like to see some improvement over the rest of the preseason. This is a passing league, and if we can't defend it, we are going to have a long season...
What were your thoughts on the passing defense?
